God was One in the old testament and in mark, Luke and john, as you get to the writings of Paul the apostle, things begin to contradict themselves, it changed from worshipping God to worshipping Jesus. Paul said to the Galatians to abolish the previous law, but Jesus said follow the commandments. The teachings of Christianity do not follow the bible.

It may not start out that way, like your perception of Jesus as a great guy, but in the end people end up abusing it and people die and suffer because of what it becomes.
