I first heard this in moms room.LOL but as a youngster I used to see the old heads get it on in the Phoenix Lounge to this. I love the way they let the beat ride, thats for the playas of the world such as myself and Mr. Mccloud. he was schooling you mane!lol

  • Love this song... oh young love is a wonderful thing!!! lmao

  • Summer of 1980 in the park drinking Bull with this music in my ears! Priceless! Thank you Isley Brothers for the memories...

  • One of the songs easily missed in their bank !!!

  • I love this song...one of my all time favorites...the isleys shut it down back in the dayz!! And Ron is still fly!! One of the elite bands of R&B. They are goin' hard on this album cover...fabulous..way back then.

  • This is one of my all time favorites from the Isleys. This is true rhythm and blues. I love the beautiful, refreshing, blue sky after the rain melody. The arrangement is outstanding! The acoustic piano, along with Ernie's guitar, make one awesome piece of music.

  • Ron is killing on the vocals, O'Kelly and Rudy doing it on the harmony vocals, Ernie is slaying those drums (and rhythm guitar) like no one's business, Marvin is slapping that bass, and Chris Jasper is laying it on with the keyboards and synthesizers. The Isley Brothers = greatest musical family of all time IMHO.

  • summer 1980

  • Where are the real bands like The Isley Brothers????? Milk Carton

  • Learn from and apply Doo Wop harmonies, rooted in Gospel music and the Blues with a good dose of Jazz sensibility. Purpose-driven music filled with spiritual uplift.

  • Got this one as my ring tone. Can't wait sometimes for the phone to ring to hear this groove.

  • i love this F'n song too! lol

  • "what do when love somebody ?"' here we go again. my favorite isley brothers song. r.i.p marvin and o'kelly.

  • this was a great time for music and a good time to enjoy life.....great music!! great times and just wow!!!

  • love this song....love you AB.....this song reminds me of us

  • This kind of music, The Isleys, Zeppelin, EWF, Genesis, Hathaway, Parliament/Funkadelic, Issac Hayes, Barry White, Journey, Womack, Michael Franks, etc., etc. will never die, and we will never see groups like this because music just isn't appreciated like it was when I was growing up in Detroit during the era of all this awesome music that had great musicians and singers.

  • How dumb to dislike. If you can't comprehend this REAL music, then move on. I wouldn't listen to country songs then dislike them, Duh, I don't like Country Music so I don't waste my time watching Country videos on You-Tube. GET A LIFE!!!

  • I believe that every track of this album is a winner.

  • after the song check out the backround chorus-----ahhh ohh ohh--yesss

  • Also listen to it over, over and over all day! Can't get enough,

  • R&B Souldiers - Ron and the brothas were strechin' out on this one. My ex-wife and I used to ride to this joint it was like the story of our romance, up and down - on and off. It still sounds sweet tho. Keep it bumpin', Thanks.

  • These were some rough lookin brothers, they look like they would rough you up if you got caught in the wrong neighborhood.

  • owwwwwww my momz used ta bump the shit outta this back in the day i havent heard it in yrs

  • Get your cha -cha on ya'll! Nothing like the Isley Bros.!

  • love this.

  • this is a good break up/make up song, of all the women in the world I keep coming back to you, here we go again :-)

  • Quite frankly one of the best songs I've ever had the fortune to hear. I was a youngman when this song appeared on the radio. I had NO idea that "Here We Go Again" would mean SO much to me, as I became an adult and did adult things. All I knew was that, it spoke to me. Being in love is a beautiful thing and learning about who your ment to be, is even better. Thank You Isley Brothers.......

  • I heard this song on the way home from work the other day and damn-near had a car wreck because I was singing and bumping so hard. The Isley Brothers really put their feet in this one; it is slammin and still make you wanna get up and dance. I was 15 years old when this song came out; I am 43 now and still love it. This will forever be a classic! Thanks PalmBeach 1028 for the memories.

  • Remember this when I was just a young boy back in 1980! My aunts use to throw big cookout and card games and groove to all this good Sh!t all through the night! WHEW! To be blessed to live in that area when black folk know how to party and groove with love peace and happiness and no ignorance or violence.

  • Now this is alright!!! They don't make 'em like this no more!!!

  • just gotta love it huh :-)

  • MUSIC FOLKS !!!!!!

  • This is a Cut!!

  • =) =) =) dang, i was 6!! but wow, never had better times (besides when I started buying my own 40's in high school lmaoo)

  • First time I heard this cut was as it was being played on some noncommercial FM station in in Raleigh NC in April 1980. Was with a woman who had broken up with me several months earlier. Let's say we had fun. But it was years before I recognized the how appropo the lyrics were on that occasion.

  • This smooth cut is dedicated to Carl & Lisa Bridges. After all weve been through baby, i keep coming back to you. Out of all the women of the world. I keep coming back to you Lisa. So, Here we go again in 2010. Destiny at it's finest.

  • Is this the Ish? Or, What?

  • truthfully youtube is far better than radio where you're the dj & or the program director!

  • Hey Here We Go again man this is one of my favorite Isley Brothers songs 4real I gotta get this cd to have in my collection

  • Love this song , now this is music I don't know what the hell they are playing now.

  • Alright Jobeykobra! Real music just soothes the soul - even the 'young' soul. LOVE this MUSIC!!! Real artists - musicians, vocalists, writers - QUALITY lasts a lifetime.

  • :-)

  • These brothers are a timeless legend. This groove should make anybody bob dey head and pat dey feet through the entire jam!!

Wish there was more of this type of old skool jams...

  • I'm almost 39. I had every album they made in the 1970s and 80s when I was in high school. This was my favorite band ad a kid. This song is as tight now as it was when I was nine years old.

  • @broaddusmarines very good dear

  • I can't really claim that I'm young, just turned 30, but I've been down with the Brothers Isley since I could listen to music.

This album came out the year I was born, so it was destiny that I would feel this cut!

  • Probably the reason you are here now. Give thanks to the brothers Isley

  • @CapricornSuave very good dear

  • funny, i was born in 1981 but I have been to four isleys concerts and am one of thier biggest fans!!

  • Typical Isleys cut - big, meaty, brawny funk but smooth as silk.

  • What a great way to describe The Isley Brothers.....That's them!

  • I remember when i first heard this song....i was in the middle of a conversation and tuned them completely out cuz i got caught up in the groove :-)...one of my favorites

  • @jsealy10 very good dear

  • It doesn't matter. IF YOUR young or older and you hear this song. And you don't sway a little bit, move your head a little bit, clap you hands a little bit or pop your fingers a little bit. Sumptinz WRONG, LOL. Good memories...............

  • Got a chance to see The Isley Brothers in 1980 when this album was out! However, we did not make it to the concert on time because my cousin's car broke down! My friend and I finally got a ride to see them perform "Belly Dancer." We were upset because we spent our parents' money for tickets and did not get to see all the concert! We did see Ron Isley though walking on his toes! What a great time even if we didn't get to see all the concert! Great memory!

  • If it dont touch your soul then why listen, I only wish to hear music that put's that feeling of love, happiness

  • I am 28 years old and I remember my mom's playing old school joints back in the early 1980's(good times ). I blast this now and she's like, "that's old." but it does sound good!

  • palmares77 My Man!!!!!! Good Observation!!!!!!

  • this tune is tremendous!!

  • I agree. I could listen to this song on repeat ALL DAY! I'm probably the only 19-year-old guy for miles who loves this real music. And yes, this is real music unlike all the commercial crap we get today. Whatever happened to having soul and heart in music?

For me, music and emotion go hand in hand. It isn't about what's cool or hip according to the commercial standard or about angst-y lyrics. It's what makes your heart sing or makes you look at the world a certain way. And this band does that.

  • @Jobeykobra For a 19yr.old, your on the right track!

  • Keep bangin these joints youngblood!

  • @iam01 who gotta ajoint, man past tht, , i wanna puff to.. .

u hav to get high to listen to diz music. , peace my bro.

  • @Jobeykobra You're a real smart young man. Not only has music lost that deep African-spiritual soul vibe, but so have alot of our black brothers and sisters because no ones taking the time to educate them about the struggle and our history because some of are to busy blig blingin', pimpin' ho's, gang bangin' and killing one another over dumb shit.

  • @Jobeykobra Finally! Somebody gets it! Totally agree!

  • @Jobeykobra the secret is, REAL TALENT! the so-called "music" of today, don't have it!

  • @gerlsus that is because they only wanna paid

  • @Jobeykobra I listen to it over and over too

  • @Jobeykobra It's great to hear that some of these young peeps have some type of soul, and an great hear for great music. I agree with you 1000% about this commercial crap today, but the pple doing it don't care...they call it getting paid. The commercial standard has sunk lower and lower and lower. But I'm going to keep this reply positive. You have great taste in music. I wish you success and wealth.

  • For all these so-called playas of my generation..........Ronnie Isley rocking the chinchilla mink in 1980!!! We way late.....lolol

  • @palmares77 , you aint neva lied about that , the Isleys was rocking gold chains , you see the fur , all that , album after album after album , that is why Mr Biggs , is Mr Biggs because he is no small time situation ....and the music is classic

  • @palmares77 word like 20 years homey...he prolly laugh at cats spending their advance money on that lol

  • Classic joint, smooth, sexy and for us grown folks!

  • reminds me of my youngest daughters mother. we always end up with each other and broke up. and its like here we go again. but she is such a lady.and sexy too. here we go again eartha kitt!

  • Ah memories!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you!!! I just close my eyes and the memories come flooding back.

  • aww..here we go again, another great Isley stomp down!! thank you for the memories and the timeless funk of my generation !!
