  • Peace, Love and Awesome Spirituality at concert for Bangladesh! God I miss the beauty that was us August 1971 NYC Madison Square Garden.

  • 'Nuff said??

  • 40 year anniversary, August 1 1971.

I was at the first show which the film and recored are from. This was a tight band with keltner and ringo on drums, klaus vorrman on bass, and the great Billy.preston on Hammond. This was the first time Keltner met and played with Ringo.

    RIP George and Billy!!!!

This song was the highlight of the concert!!!!!

  • The show "Unsung" brought me here. Even though I was really saddened about how Billy's life turned out (because of the sexual abuse at nine), it is so obvious that he truly had a gift from God. It seemed that he was a treasure of a person, and I don't think there will ever be anyone to fill his shoes.

  • There "ain't nothin" sounds like a B-3 in the right hands, and Billy has the Hands!

  • fuck yea

  • This would convert Richard Dawkins!

  • I met him at a Beatlesfest in Chicago a few years ago. A wonderful gentleman he posed for pictures and signed items when he obviously wasn't feeling well. Truly missed.

  • Love the music, love the man, love his life. "Billy will love you still"

  • WOW just WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • YES! YES!

  • Billy you were awesome -- that's the way God planned it.

  • Absolutely fabulous !! Doesn't get much better than this :) Simply beautiful in every way..

  • Great song!

  • @zlotyz Billy was a Church Musican always.

  • the song "Jesus Is the Answer" by Paul Simon Live Rhymin' I'm pretty sure has the same riff almost exactly. (I think Paul took it) from Billy. But o well its a awesome song, gotta love it when Billy stands up.

  • EPIC !

  • WOW! AWESOME! Billy taking us 2 church. More importantly "LISTEN" 2 the words. Spreading the word in his interpretation through his gift of music. Now that's what "MINISTRY" really is, reaching out 2 "ALL". Contrary 2 what the church may say or how they feel. We tend 2 put 2 much emphasis on how the gospel is suppose 2 be spread. As long as it's "UNADULTERATED" Who's 2 judge.

  • Billy is magnificent. Klaus Voorman pushed it over the edge.

  • Billy at age 11 made an appearence with Nat King Cole on Nat's tv show. Great stuff.

  • Billy Preston was the 5th Beatles- he was the only non- Beatles credited on an album and many times- and during the Let it Be sessions he helped relieve tensions by being there and playing with the Beatles at George's invitation. he showed up to the concert for Bangladesh unlike Paul and John, played at George's memorial concert, and was an amazing organ player on his own

  • Billy took us to church on this one.

  • Esta música é perfeita! Preston canta com toda a sua alma, e com a participação do super beatle Harrison e Ringão... é de arrebentar!

  • OMG, this is CHURCH

  • this is the only song ive been listenin to all fuckin week,

  • @bklyncosanostra do you think it was necessary to use the "f" word for a song like this?

  • This is fuckin soul

  • I have alot of Live DVD concert footage. The Concert for Bangladesh is probably by far the best one I have seen and heard along with Concert for George..

  • fuck michael jackson , go billy

  • sure miss this guy-fantastic performmance

  • Billy was fantastic , I miss the 70's !!

  • It's true God is making a very nice band up there,John Lennon and George Harrison in guitars,Billy in keyboards,Keith Moon in drums and John Etelwisse in bass....they should sounds great!!!

  • I love Billy Preston. Never heard this song before until today but its definately going to my faves.

  • RIP Billy your music has always inspired me

  • God is making a really good band up there....

    God bless Billy and George

  • Comment removed

  • He was called the fifth Beatle and all of you must know why..What a team...

  • In a world of contemporary overproduced, homogonized and frankly boring praise music, this is a classic and a reminder of how great gospel music can really be. Go Billy, go!

  • From 4:17 to 4:22 he is thinking "PRAISE THE LORD!!!"

God bless and rest in peace Billy Preston and George Harrison.

  • This is the real deal. RIP Billy and thanks for being one mean M.F***er

  • @rcskins , why would you cuss about a song about God?

  • That would make Richard Dawkins believe

  • Billy Preston Cuts A MEan Rug

  • An amazing song in an amazing concert. Genius performer surrounded by genius. Layers and layers of genius. There's a light that comes off this song nearly 40 years later. Just brilliant.

  • @RockingJamboree AGREED!! The source of that light is THEE best and beats the energizer AND Duracell!! This light will NEVER go out!!! God bless!!

  • Marvelous performer...our loss, heaven's gain...

  • absolute legend

  • I remember seeing this in the theatre back when it first came out (1972?). Billy Preston and this song energized the band and the concert; up until this song it had been rather pedestrian, but he really fired up everybody with his performance here. Besides being fantastic on the Hammond, he was the best voice on stage that night. RIP Billy; we sure do miss ya!

  • this song rocks. I heard it on howard stern's morning intro and had to find out who sang it. very very good song by mr. preston!

  • The Concert for Bangla Desh took place on August 1, 1971

  • Billy created the organ melody on "Get Back"...

  • yeah he did, he is a great singer!

  • Fantastic! His energy was infectious!

  • Billy's hat almost fell off at the end...

  • Billy Preston the fifth Beatle ;) He rocks!

  • my kind of religion

  • I've just been trying to piece together this entire concert and I can't believe there are 5 comments on this song! compared to how many comments there are for Harrison songs...don't forget Billy!

  • This is always my favorite from that show!

  • Fantastic!

  • that was THE concert! especially on orange sunshine!

  • WE MISS YOU BILLY!!!! RIP!!!!

  • amazing

  • WOW!
