Anyone who says standard transmissions suck doesn't know how to drive one. The new automatic transmissions are allowing more control but there is nothing like the full control of a standard transmission. No stupid button to push with my thumb to change gears. Just a really practical left foot pedal to push down. The old autos have hardly any control at all (low/1st and 2nd). I drive up/down mountains where I live and I prefer the control of a standard.

The Randy toe thing reminds me of when I broke my toe some months ago. I still played double bass. My mom thought I should've stopped because she thought it could injure it more. We went in for another checkup, and the doctor said if if wasn't hurting my toe, it was fine. I still drum, and I think my double bass is as better as ever!
