  • I wonder how many Wozniacks history has forgotten simply through never meeting a Steve Jobs...

  • Our ukrainian man!

  • @Shiver2oo5 First of all he's not your's ukrainian man but an american man because he born in USA. Secondly his mother was from Deutschland, father from Poland, and they lived in Ukraina.

We've got nearly 90 thousand Woźniak's in Poland.

  • Apples invents samung copies fact.

  • Steve Wozniak=Hardware

    Steve Jobs=Software

    -------> Wozniak+Jobs = Hardware+Software =Apple

    it's just math :)

  • @bomfunk1991 Actually Steve Wozniak made hardware and software, Steve jobs saw what has potential and told Woz to built it in Apple computers, thats why they were so successful

  • @jshowa5

in the beginning, steve jobs was lucky to have woz. But as the company continued to grow, Woz was lucky to have Steve. Without Steve, Woz's invention would have been a hobby.

  • @censortube09 OH HEEEELLLLL NOOOOOOOOO!

  • He does

  • He looks like Chuck Norris ;)

  • @maphacker111 The Chuck Norris of chips ;)

  • I like this man, look cute

  • Looks like a legit caveman.

  • The video thumbnail makes the Woz look like Bigfoot for some reason

  • Hes the real genius, jobs was a visionary.

  • He looks sort of like a gorilla..

  • I love how he completely ignores and walks right past the Mac computer and goes to work on his Apple II, probably electing to do a little basic programming.

  • In my opinion he's got the beard :)

  • The WOZ is the BOSS

  • Haha at the first 8 seconds with the baby in one hand on the Vespa while doing burnouts on the grass!

  • Jobs was a marketing genuis but he reminds me of the character 'Face' on the old A-team show. Shake hands with him sure - but also be sure to count your fingers and toes afterwards. Very, very good at marketing sure.

Woz is more technical and honest. To think he used to (and perhaps still does) teach Kindergarden.... I don't know if I would trust Jobs in a kindergarden class - he might sell them off :) .

  • wolfman?

  • i has a big lower jaw

  • looks like a bear

  • True Genius right there :)

  • @fastmoneyphil Why is he a "genius"? Define the word "genius"?

  • Woz is the man and a total genius. But Apple would have been nothing between 77 and 84 without Stevo

  • why is it that everyone in the 80's had that exact same long-sleeve?

  • It's No-Shave November for the Woz every month of the year.

    Check out theGrablet, Ipad Lovers.

  • class A engineer

  • Wow.. he's exactly the same today as he was 25 yrs ago.. cool.

  • RIP Steve

  • Woz is such a genuine guy.

  • Woz is such a smart guy! I am speechless..

  • Comment removed

  • A genius is nothing more than a person who consistently focuses their action on a result their committed too.

Cool short film. If you want to watch an award winning documentary go to 180movie.com

  • is he a hippie on LSD?

  • He hasn't changed a bit. He still has all that energy! And he makes sense, too!

  • I totally judged this guy by his cover. I thought he was an obsessed, socially awkward geek, but he actually sounds brilliant. These are some words of wisdom...

  • Comment removed

  • This guy is a genius

  • What a genius man : )

  • WOZNIAK IZ AWESOME

  • Wozniak for President

  • What a brilliant guy!

  • Woz. Apple couldn't have happened without him. But he even admits his computer would still be sitting in a garage somewhere collecting dust if it wasn't for Steve Jobs. They were a great team.

  • Wozniak definitely the more human of the two. Though the two Steve's had equal shares at the start, Woz gave most of his away to the earlier employees. Hence, Woz's net worth is "only" 100 mil vs Jobs multibillion.

  • woz kind of got screwed by steve it seems like

  • @boogiebuddy01 Not really. Woz just loved software and was the tech guy. He didn't want to become a business man which is why he never considered CEO status. Like he said, he was building computers for himself.

  • I gotta get that CAL gear with the UCLA hue! Hey I mean...it's not like it could be confused w/ a Stanford jacket right?

  • hmm. he's a genius...

  • Woz = Batman, Jobs = Robin / Woz = Jordan, Jobs = Pippen

  • Wow this guy predicted the future : facebook, youtube, ebay ....etc

  • @superoriginalname You sound like Woz himself. You thought he predicted all of this or had these ideals first. Things like social networking(facebook), video sharing(youtube), and e-commerce(ebay) had been discussed and thought about by many early engineers including the people creating much of the software for Apple in this era... Microsoft.

  • @NUTZJ98 all you did was repeat everything I said with technical words and then say microsoft did it first. Stop trying to impress on youtube, and get a real fuckin life troll lol

  • @superoriginalname Actually, I refrained from acting like I knew who actually created and or communicated these concepts first. My statement was "many" not Microsoft alone. The entire reason Microsoft was mentioned was to heckle your ignorant comment and that I do admit. Your defensive stance and obscenities do not help your case insisting that "I" am the troll. Maybe your lose use of the term reflects your lack of knowledge about it's definition along with your other misconceptions. Try again.

  • Woz is a good engineer. Steve is a visionary. They complement each other.

  • Dennis Ritchie died? "found dead at his home where he lived alone". Poor old man. At the time he was dying alone, I was reading a lot about him :(

  • @alexgrinkov Dennis Ritchie >> Wozniak >>>>>> Amoeba >>>>>>> Steve Jobs

  • This man is a genius!

  • neither Woz nor Jobs was a parasite they were both complete geniuses who worked very hard to accomplish their goals the only luck they had was the luck that they were able to meet each other.

  • Is it just me or did Woz used to have it a lot more together?

  • I think these comments are in extremely bad taste, poor breeding.

  • Wozniak does not suck as much cock as jobs do.

    But he still sucks.

  • he looks like a geico caveman

  • Steve Wozniak is a fucking genius!

  • Invention, thinking up a new technology, is the relatively simple part. Innovation, bringing it to the world, is what made Steve Jobs insanely great.

  • Jobs was a salesman, never IT man, he would run Zoo as fine and innovative ways as he did with Apple, Woz was/is a hardware and code man...and so did itremained.

  • wow was that edited with a video toaster? lol jkjk AMIGA FTW!!!!

  • Interesting. At 2:20, he goes into his lab, with a Mac, but sits down in front of the Apple 2e !

  • @33rdPatriot why is it interesting? Anyways, it is also interesting that Woz sounds the same now as in the past...he didnt change.

  • Kick that cook guy out and Woz for CEO!

    R.I.P el jobso. ;'(

  • @jci10 they both needed each other. Some people are smart in the tech sense, but need an artistic vision like Jobs to bring out the full potential of the idea. Artists drive innovation. Just remember that.

  • Steve Wozniak for CEO!

  • @ungen94 Woz doesn't like being a boss

  • @ungen94 You should read the Steve Jobs book, bc it talks about Wozniak, and how he only wanted to be an engineer, nothing more, nothing less. He says he is too shy to be CEO, or a top business guy, because he just loves engineering.

  • Steve Jobs. RIP.

  • He IS, and always WILL be, "The Mozart of Computer Design."

  • THE WIZARD OF WOZ!

  • love his office - looks like an apple lover! you can tell he loves what he's done and accomplished. brillant and very likable guy

  • Woz is a tech guy. CEO's must be ruthless and cutthroat. That is simply a reality.

  • @jeffwads

    that why he is awesome..

    and why i like him

  • That woman has no idea what hes saying

  • Since Jobs is leaving Apple would be nice that he named Woz new CEO.

  • @stickdeath1000 It would be nice, but Woz is just too damn lovable to be a CEO.

  • at 2:00 he may be smart, but not smart enough to know a chair with wheels wont roll on carpet.

  • @coldlogic1 that's why he lifted it.

  • I'd buy an Apple product for The Woz, but not for Steve Jobs, so I'm waiting.

  • Jobs should feel really grateful to have sum one so genius lik him...sad that his mere info is no more shown in the apple site...real sad

  • He looks a bit like a Neanderthal lol

  • Wozniak? Sounds like Polish surname.

  • @t1czer it is,he's mostly Polish ancestry

  • go bears!! i want that cal sweater

  • @chaaaaaaam 123 go bears! perhaps the dumbest chant of all time.

  • you have no friend and you like penis

  • He was the best of the American Century and they rest of us lived on his brillant creations. There will never be another American such as he. Innovation comes from the minds of great men, he was one of them. We, Americans, will always love him.

His career and life will never be trivial.

  • he understood silicon valley greater than anyone else, rip denice denton

  • This man is the greatest electrical engineer in the History of the United States.

  • @8data No. Without Chuck Peddle and Jay Miner, there would be no MOStek 6502 chips nor the video chips. Without those chips, there was no Apple, no Atari, no Commodore.

  • His statement about "garage" startups is interesting. By the stage we're at now, His statements ring more true. Try to imagine someone creating something smaller, faster, and better than a crappy smartphone in their garage (kinda tough). Try to imagine someone creating the next phone OS in their garage (more realistic).

  • he is the real genius behind Apple not Steve Jobs who is worshiped by fanboys and fangirls as if Apple is a Cult

  • Wozniak and Jobs are both brilliant and visionary in their own way. Neither would be where they are today without the unique talents of the other.

  • @jci10 They're both the man :D

  • @jci10 I disagree. Jobs was lucky, no doubt about that, but, I think that Jobs understood what Woz did on a level different than most people. I mean, that kind of insight gave us the Mac, the iPod and the iPad.

Woz was lucky that he found such a great and enthusiastic evangelist too.

  • @taitaisanchez Maybe. But I agree that only Jobs had the power to sell an inferior Apple at 10 times the cost of a vastly superior Atari or Commodore PET computers. He still has that power today even though Apple is now way worse than Microsoft in attitude, control, power-hungryness and still overly priced products.

  • @jci10 Deal with the culture @ Microsoft with respect to there customers vs Apple, now tell me they are the same.

  • @jci10 WTF. Lucky, he is a genius!

  • @jci10 hey think of it more of as a symbiotic relationship - without jobs there would be no apple as you know it...

  • @yeeri The only good thing about Jobs is that he managed to attract the best engineers and still treat them like shit and still get away it. When I say "get away", I mean these excellent engineers would stay with the company. I personally believe it has to do with some sort of S&M attraction the engineers had with Jobs. I honestly can't think of any other reason why such great engineers would stay.

  • @jci10 Jobs was ruthless but he was very inspiring too.

  • @jci10 Have you seen pirates of Silicon Valley? without jobs apple wouldn't exist

  • @jci10 how clueless and ignorant can you be? read about Jobs and Woz for god sake before posting nonsense about them again.

  • @Bakloyd So you are saying Jobs treated Woz honestly? BS. As least Bill Gates could program, though there was no comparison between Paul Allen and Gates' ability. Paul was clearly the genius in that group. When I see Steve Jobs, I think "Used Car Dealer" like person. I have no respect for Jobs and I will never forgive him.

  • @jci10 A lucky parasite who completely revived Apple from near death and also mastered implementation combined with marketing brilliance.

  • @charleshoskinson

...nevermind that $150 investment from microsoft and Jonathan Ive taking over design in the same year though, eh?

  • @jci10 I know. What do people keep saying that Jobs was the "genius"? He's nothing but a salesperson.

  • @jci10 I know its a bit cynical of me to post this just days after jobs' death, but Jobs was anything but a lucky parasite. He was the boot up the ass Woz needed and he himself even acknowledges that.

  • @madcapoperator Jobs couldn't invent a paper-bag. Also, don't forget about when Steve Jobs kept ALL the $5,000 bonus Atari paid Wozniak for his stunning work on their circuit board. Those are all facts. Unfortunately, people tend to forget these facts when people die. I don't.

  • @jci10 Did I say he was the inventor? No, no I did not. Woz was the brains and Jobs was the brawn and charisma which sold computers to the average joe.

  • @jci10 thank you. every thinks jobs was some brilliant saint. well he was brilliant as a businessman. i could never have designed a computer or ipod.

  • @kingcrimson234 Actually, I don't even think he was a good businessman. Just lucky again. Remember NeXT? ANd the billions of dollars Jobs manage to con out of those Texas billionaires? Jobs would probably be one of the best used car dealers ever.

  • @jci10 "He was lucky to have me early on, but I was much luckier to have him later on..." - Steve Wosniak

  • @jci10

Jobs holds over 300 individual patents.

  • @Bookstop1337 Yea, he filed patents on Woz's work! Ever read how Jobs famously screwed Woz on a project to reduce the number of chips needed to build a new Atari game? Jobs told Woz that he was offered $1000 to reduce the number of chips and that he would split the money 50/50. Woz worked 72 hours straight while trying to make the deadline. Job's did as promised and gave Woz his cut, $500. He just never told Woz the bonus promised by Atari was $10,000. Genius or scheming user of friends?

  • @DestinationTaiwan

I didn't know any of that, maybe it's the case maybe not. You can choose to remember him however you want I guess. Remember that the creator C(The programming language) and Linux passed away on the 8th of this month and he wasn't remembered at all or even reported on by the mainstream media. despite it being the world's largest programming language and arguably the source of every technological achievement in the computer industry. Again, you can remember him as you want

  • @Bookstop1337

Linus Torvalds, the person generally known as the creator of Linux, is still alive.

I think you mean one of the key personnel responsible for the development of Unix, which Linux and OS X are based on, as well as the inventor of the C language, Dennis Ritchie, had passed away.

  • @Watcher3223

Yeah, meant to say Unix, not Linux.

  • @DestinationTaiwan very accurate but the "$10,000" -_- way less

  • @DestinationTaiwan Thats called business, not cool though, but Id wanna make sure thas true

  • @DestinationTaiwan hehe Well... if you put it that way.... Wozniak was a genius, and Jobs Screwed Wozniak....so that makes JObs the Genius of the Geniuses! The human mind is the most complex computer of all! If you can manipulate that, you'll inherit the riches of the earth!

  • @DestinationTaiwan Was it $10,000? I read that, but the bonus amount wasn't listed. That just seems like it might be an exaggeration!

I think Woz was always a more enlightened being than Jobs. But it took both of them, and their various character flaws, to make it all work. I am thankful, and am absolutely loving reading their story!

  • @DestinationTaiwan That's why Jobs had a slow and shitty death.

  • @DestinationTaiwan

Apple patents everything... "You cant use the form factor of the iphone samsung" and blah blah blah... Nothing can advance if nothing is shared.

  • STOP REPLYING TO MY GODDAMNED COMMENT, IT'S OVER A YEAR OLD.

  • Woz was wrong about the day being over, just look at Michael Dell

  • Jobs was the Marketing man.. This man was the Brains

  • He looks like Booger from Revenge of the Nerds!

  • in my opinion, if it wasnt for that crash, he would of still been CEO...

  • Comment removed

  • Woz is so badass he can ride a moped one handed on a hill while holding a baby.

  • @da42ng fuck yew! Frank Garrett

  • Wozniak is the genius of the two-headed Apple behemoth. Jobs is just the more outspoken and charismatic of the two.

  • Polak Potrafi...

  • The more I learn about Wozniak, the more I realize he was the brains behind Apple. Jobs just hogs the spotlight.

  • This guys brain is miles ahead of Jobs.

  • Its funny to see everyone dissing Jobs and acting like they know something. Go do some research before making baseless comments.

  • He is a good man, I can feel it. Steve Jobs is a seller, I don't like him.

  • the thing I always liked the most of this guy is that it doesn't seem a geek at all

  • This guy is the computer's father like we know it. He is a genius. Steve Jobs marketing genius, Wozniak an Excelent scientist.

  • yeah ... every 10 years new industry will emerge...

    1990s ... Internet

    2000s ... Social Media

  • The real brains behind Apple.

  • @Everyone, FULL computer chronicles episodes are available on the Internet Archive website! Just search for "computer chronicles" in the search bar on that site

  • man was wozniak right on point.

  • It is such a shame they have taken a turn for the worst with there strategy with the Ipods, I pads, just I anything.

They went from good guys, to worse then Microsoft!

Refusing to run Flash on there product big mistake, people want to see everything on every web page, old tech or not it is widely used!

I think greed is taking over.

  • Nice Betamax selection Woz!

  • Woz is a genius

  • It's disturbing that the comment above that Jobs "exploited" Woz has got so many thumbs up. You think you're honouring Woz by crapping all over Jobs? You're not. Woz was never a fool. He didn't care much about money, but he was NEVER stupid. Woz exploited Jobs too. Be honest. Jobs put far, far more effort into the success of Apple than Woz ever did. Give Woz credit for being a programming genius, but don't build up Woz by denigrating Jobs.

  • @bashbrannigan

"Be honest. Jobs put far, far more effort into the success of Apple than Woz ever did."

No, actually he didn't. Because if they didn't have a product to begin with, THERE WOULD BE NO COMPANY.

  • @manjyoumethunder Sorry, but you don't know the history of computing. There were many other computers besides the Apple I and the Apple II at the time. Woz might have had the best one, but without Jobs running the company it wouldn't have gone anywhere. This is my last answer to you. You need to read more about Apple and it's history.

  • @bashbrannigan

And you need to get your head out of Jobs' ass. If Woz hadn't invented the Apple, Jobs wouldn't have a company to fucking start. And even before Apple, Jobs stole from and exploited Woz and his talents. Any fucking businessman could have capitalized on Woz's creation, it took a genius to actually invent it. Woz is the genius, Steve is just a douche.

  • 2.43 - the first recorded case of RSI in the making!!....you can just tell from his monologue that this guy is incredibly on the ball. I bet he has trouble switching off though.

  • Jobs is a disgusting thief. Woz was/is all about openness, equality, and freedom to choose... everything Jobs in against. Jobs is a Nazi about having everything single design, and demands everything be done his way. He hates openness and will have you raided by police if you dare are open about apple, yet Woz stood up for the engineer. Woz also waits in line at the apple store.

BTW: Jobs got his start hacking AT&T with a bluebox, yet now he's throw a hissy fit when someone else wants to do it.
