This was great. I can see Skyla's flute playiing being a major target for her elders " mother, peers" I can see comments like " Well maybe if you focused more on your lightning and less on that noisy instrument, then you wouldn't have this problem" :) Or maybe the Tar of Anger being defeated by love and courage, as Skyla actually goes deeper into the tar to save Cloud instead of latching on to a branch near by and saveing herself. Thanks for the videos, I enjoyed them.
Architectus, you are awesome. Throughout the past twelve years I have been jotting down various stories that takes place in the same universe. After I figured out the grand theme, what the whole point of the stories were, and where to start I came up with a storyline for the first book. A lot of the stuff you cover I was happy to know that I pretty much had it down, but your two hours of enlightenment covered a lot of my gaps. Thank you sir, I am closer then ever to start actually writing it.
@ludprodrigues I think from End of All, I came up with the soul eater first, and then I thought about if I wanted this to be a sci-fi or fantasy. Because I went with fantasy, I thought it would be cool to do elemental elves. I later came up with a very cool idea of how the elves came into existence, but you will have to check the graphic novel on my site to learn what that is. To answer your second question, yes. I finished the novel, but I am presently converting it into a graphic novel.
Did you remove the first version? The one where you made up a story (of revenge) as you went along? To be honest, I much prefer that one to the new one. Could you put the old version back up for reference purposes?
Hello architectus777, Your videos are really helpful and you have done some amazing service to people like me, budding writers by giving a shortcut to many books to read about developing a story.
in fact, the books read are reinforced with your videos. cheers and all the best for your writing.

Hey!
I'm writing from Brazil, so forgive the poor english :P
I really enjoyed your series. I only learn by examples, and yours are great.
2 questions:
1 - How do you come up with an idea? This Skyla story, for example, did you first think of the elves, or the soul eater or what?
2 - Did you complete the novel? Is it available for download? I'd really like to see all this planning put to practice.
Thank you so much for these videos ;)

@architectus777 Did you get this published/ make money off of this? If so, how does one get published without getting "raped" by the publisher!!

where is the download link? by the way, are the videos available for download as well?
I am generally not a "Journey" story kinda fan, but I have a story in mind and your outlining system seems a good idea...
