I said "APOLLO" had been going on prior to the election. It was Apollo "11," meaning there were 10 others. Not the least of which were moon orbits done Dec 25th of 68, before Nixon took office, which proved we could get to the moon and come back alive.
Even so, its ridiculous to suggest they could go from zero to fake in just the few months after Nixons inauguration. And how many of the previous apollos in 68 and 67 were fake as well?

I believe the first steps on the moon may have been filmed on a sound stage; for contingency. I don't believe that's what was televised in 1969. But what if something had happened? You think the government wouldn't have had a contingency plan? I do believe that the "One small step for man" bit was scripted. This was a huge propaganda effort. It would have seriously affected national morale had it failed. So yeah, they had a contingency plan. I don't think they ever had to use it, though.
All the interviews with Nixon's advisors never mention what the decision were being made on or who specifically is being referenced. Only the recording secretary mentions about something about the moon landing being faked. They are all speaking so generally about what could be a number of topics. Not one of them mention the specifics - there are a lot of fill in the blanks here.

1) Moonrocks. They are now in 150 foreign countries and have been examined by 3 generations of geologists
2) Equipment left behind. The laser reflectors are used to this day, and the Japanese LRO took pics of the landing sites a couple years ago.
3) Eyewitnesses. The men who went there are still alive and have been given interviews for 40 years. Rabid paranoia aside, "Liar liar pants on fire" is NOT a legitimate counter argument ;)

I believe the first steps on the moon may have been filmed on a sound stage; for contingency. I don't believe that's what was televised in 1969. But what if something had happened? You think the government wouldn't have had a contingency plan? I do believe that the "One small step for man" bit was scripted. This was a huge propaganda effort. It would have seriously affected national morale had it failed. So yeah, they had a contingency plan. I don't think they ever had to use it, though.

All the interviews with Nixon's advisors never mention what the decision were being made on or who specifically is being referenced. Only the recording secretary mentions about something about the moon landing being faked. They are all speaking so generally about what could be a number of topics. Not one of them mention the specifics - there are a lot of fill in the blanks here.
I'm skeptical about somethings, but this is a bit "put together as necessary" to make a conspiracy hold water.

Is this a joke? In the footage of Kissinger, Rumsfeld and the others, no one ever actually says the moon landing was faked, they just keep talking about doing "it" and saying that the president "made the right decision"...they could be talking about anything.
The problem with these sort of "documentaries" is that it is very easy to take snippets of footage out of context and combine them with authoritative-sounding narration and other visuals to imply connections that aren't really there.
