  • GRWarPig1 Well, I tell them that. I understand youre point of view but for me, is a waste of time following a band for so long knowing that at that time, they were so different, just to say that they sucked without original members. If someone likes more X fase of the band, well, listen to that. I like all the fases because Iommi is one of my favorite Guitar players and Iam not a musician ether. I think that is space for every taste in black sabbath.

  • This is the best song Rainbow never recorded. This version of Sabbath doesn't exactly suck, but ....

  • Wow... The last song on the last studio album the boys ever did... I doubt there will be another full studio release. With whom? Too much time has gone by. It seems the journey is completed.

  • @sandinyourshoes And what do you mean by "the boys"? What about Heaven and Hell? They even released new recordings as Black Sabbath. And Tony has made plenty of other albums.

  • @CentraCross, yes, I understand that, but I did not state these fellows did not do other work since this album. However, Sabbath has not had any FULL studio release since Forbidden. In that sense, this metal masher is their final output.

  • @sandinyourshoes If you don't consider The Devil You Know to be a Sabbath album. But It is just as much as Dehumanizer and Mob Rules.

  • @CentraCross, well, I meant official studio releases, which includes Dehumanizer and Mob Rules. As the original singer for Sab, however, it seems that Oz will always be the first choice as the frontman. People tend do debate it all the time.

  • @sandinyourshoes I do believe the original Sabbath line-up is recording soon if not now. Not sure how good it will be but they say it's working out well.

  • @91nickt, it remains to be seen. I would not be stunned if the project has a breakdown.

  • 100% you are right and

It's not fair that Ozzy or tv magazines and try to minimize the later albums just because Ozzy was first. You have to listen and appreciate music

  • @gabrielgalban Ozzy's last two albums with the band were relatively weak compared to the older stuff but still good.

  • @91nickt, For so many fans, Tech and Never Say Die seem to come nowhere close to the first one and Paranoid.

  • @sandinyourshoes Personally I think Never Say Die is an vastly underrated masterpiece

  • @karlmoles65, I totally agree. It was a very great swan song for our "Wizard of Oz." I thought it had a special sound not to be found elsewhere. Ozzie did the title track on his dynamite Speak of the Devil album.

  • @91nickt Actually Never Say Die is better than Sabbath Bloody Sabbath

  • უკეთესი იქნებოდა სიმღერა ქალის კოცნაზე რომ ყოფილიყო!

  • Tony Martin is a foot soldier. A great vocalist that always sings for Sabbath whenever they ask him.

  • One of the Best Sabbath Songs ever. Tony Martin here is fantastic.

  • so everyone knows.. the Original lineup is recording a new record as i type this.!

  • @therealether

Is that true? I think Iommi denied the rumors about the reunion?

  • @95holydiver Tony Iommi said that there are no current plans for a reunion. He said it MIGHT happen.

  • @nuppert nope. The original line-up has reunited, though I wouldn't mind seeing this lineup. Sadly we will never see the Dio (RIP) lineup again.

  • Reunion with Tony Martin would be sick.

  • @buranajunkie ya id like to see that but WTF is tony martin doing today anyway.

  • @beastforum1 lol i don't know neither

  • Dedicated to the shadows of a past.

Those charged with the high crime of treason.

Charged with the crime of telling LIES

  • One of my favorite Sabbath

  • Every lie that you tell you get closer,

Closer to the edge of the Cauldron and in to the fire! \m/\m/

  • sabbath is Iommi. End of story. always a legend! :)

  • @yggdrasil1 yea? tell that to the dudes who grow up with the sound of paranoid on radios or their vinnyls for me black sabbath are iommi ozzy buttler and ward (sorry for bad english)

  • @yggdrasil1 Same here man! I've listened to virtually Incarnations of the band and there isn't a single song I didn't like from them!

  • Damn good song!!!

  • @FjodorP Geezer is the one who denied the possible original line-up talks, but i think it's mainly due to Bill Ward's health problems

  • Espetacular em qualquer época..

  • we all know there will be no original sabbath reunion. but what about reunion with tony martin? i think this album is not bad at all

  • 95 is the year in which I was born xD

  • Comment removed

  • @FjodorP You may be right about the older "Ozzy-era" songs. They sound considerably different from later Sabbath/Dio material. They could have added songs from Cross Purposes though, it's also Iommi/Butler, and the music style of many songs there is fitting and Dio could also have reinforced them with a stronger voice (the way Dickinson sang many songs live from the "Blaze-era" later in Maiden)

  • dont know, but this album is so beautiful and also sounds so sad

  • I CREATED BLACK SABBATH !! THATS WHY IS THE BEST BAND EVER.

  • ok its good i agree but it isnt black sabbath its iommi

no ozzy no ward and no butler? and u call it sabbath?

  • Black Sabbath is my second favorite band of all time... and I still find it a little difficult to listen to Martin's vocals... he really does have an awful voice x.x

Iommi's as good as ever though. Pure genius.

Possibility of another album with Ozzy, apparently. If their writing is anything like Psycho Man or Selling My Soul, I think we can expect one of the best Sabbath albums ever recorded (if it actually happens anyway).

  • @akyrii toulaxiston mporoume na milame sta ellhnika :P ok dn me xalaei to kommati alla kalutera na htan solo karieraa otan to evgale auto to kommati para na to apokalei sabbath

  • @AlexBass180 I agree Iommi should not use the brand Black Sabbath without Butler. They should have used a different brand for the Iommi/Cozy band. I like it very much (i'm big fan of Cozy Powell too) but it's really not Sabbath. Strange that they used the brand Heaven And Hell recently with Dio although i think they could have used Sabbath totally rightfully.

This is a great song anyway.

  • @antiglobe Dio said they used the name Heaven and Hell so people would stop yelling for Ozzy songs like Paranoid, War Pigs and Ironman. Then when I went to the shows I heard drunk asses yelling " PLAY HOLY DIVER!" PLAY RAINBOW IN THE DARK" Tony martin has stated in several interviews he " will never work with Iommi " again. Wish the US could have seen this song live. But at least I got to see Cozy's last Sab Concert.

  • @JASTERI1 wasn't there something about a lawsute also?

  • sabbath 4 ever:)

  • black sabbath 4 ever:)

  • @FjodorP Well, I have to disagree with your disagreement. :o)

  • I needed to listen to this song so bad! I cannot find my Forbidden cd so cheers for uploading this one \m/

  • Now, after Dio's death, I wish Tony Martin back to Black Sabbath...

  • Black sabath is a band! Best band ever! Dont give a fuck if it's the mighty Tony, the devil Ozzy or the god on vocals Ronnie who makes the band great, Just listen to the greatest music of the universe!!!

  • Iommi IS Sabbath! The most material for the songs came from him.

He is the creative guy in the band, sure, the other band members also take their ideas in, but Iommi is the guy with the most ideas, he's just the most productive one. So, every Sabbath album sounds different, because Iommi doesn't want to sound like this album or this one, he just makes his own thing.

And when an album sounds like this and is called "Forbidden" than you can say, it's just an other work of Iommi.

  • in my opinion Black sabbath is Black sabbath, im a great fan of ozzy osbourne but i ear black sabbath with Dio,Tony Martin or ozzy it doesn't matter, the important thing is the history that this great band made and that's all

  • black sabbath was definetly better than ozzy osbourne's solo career, especially ozzy's new albums, they suck ass. Dio still made kickass music and even though that forbidden is there last album, its still fucking kickass, who gives a shit if rolling stone gave it a 1.5 star rating, i think its 10 out of 5 stars. btw, i heard that ozzy is thinking about a reunion with the original sabbath lineup

  • @codyjt5150 Post-Ozzy/Dio, Sabbath were unable to come close of matching the quality of albums like Blizzard of Ozz, Diary of a Madman, No Rest For The Wicked and No More Tears.

  • I'm only saying;

Tony Martin & James DIO, are better singers then Ozzy, no offence Ozzy lovers, but I dunno, Ozzy just dosn't do it for me! I mean I'll hand it too him Paranoid is a great song, an he's done great songs, but he just dont do it for me DIO, and Tony are the best Sabbath singers, in my opinion.

  • @NubCcake paranoid is one of Sabbaths most boring songs! Ozzy Sabbath is awesome but Tony Martin and Dio Sabbath are heavily over-looked.

  • 4:00 kickass

  • @BlackCrowMusic now that would be truly awesome... I like Ozzy and Dio, but Tony Martin era Sabbath is unbeatable

  • @BlackCrowMusic Mine is Dio Then Ozzy and Martin and i fucking love born again

  • if it wasn't for illusion of power this album would've been respected a lot more, this album is killer besides that song

  • I gotta admit I threw this tape away when I moved years ago... But I got goosebumps when I heard it again! Great song, though the album was weak overall.

  • @fallapatorius

Fallapatorius? As in, Raxicoricofallapatorius? You're a Doctor Who fan, aren't you! High five!

  • @Illumi113 The very same. You sussed it, my friend.

  • AllMusic defined it best on the Headless Cross review. "Iommi's riffs- from whence all rivers flow"

  • the beginning is like "sign of a southern cross" ... How would it sound with Dio on the vocals?

  • kiss of death :) my favory song :)

  • its aclassic man come on

  • Back on a more poignant, focused point...I can tell you this song just KILLED live. :D

  • black sabbath is musical genius.....

  • Stop arguing and listen to the music.

  • beautiful lyrics!

  • or at least have 'heaven and hell' play some of these songs. would love to hear 'headless cross' or 'trashed' live.

  • the albums without geezer arent true sabbath in my opinion,

so id consider this iommi solo stuff as hes the only original member on this,

but this stuff is fucking great regardless.

  • Iommi cant make any Solo albums

He is Black Sabbath(iommi solo=Black Sabbath aswell)

  • no he isnt,

one member is never a band,

true sabbath in my opinion are the lineups with 2 of the original members in my opinion,

  • so Ozzy or Geezer wasn't Sabbath?

    you're so fucking stupid

  • I think your fucking stupid

Because iommi was the main writer, made up the "heavy metal riff" and was on every single album of BS

So if he would leave the band would it still be the band

    Think about it you moron

  • I bet you're a kid and you don't know what the fuck a band is

  • "oooh he made up the heavy metal riff"

you fucking stupid, Ozzy made up lots of things, Geezer made up his unique bass style, Bill made up his drumming.

go to study, you're failed the test.

God, I hate this kids, back then people listened to music without bitching over other people just to show'em how smart they are, I swear you, I hate the 2000's

  • Are you not the one that started this RETARD

Why dont you give me a correct answer to what i said except trying to sound smart and geting the thumbs up

  • oooh the little kid wants the thumbs up! you know? I'm going to give you a thumb up to make you look like a retard, because while you're freaking out in front of the pc on what people say over YouTube, I couldn't care less.

    THUMB UP!

  • You dont sound like the smart type....

But anyway i was making fun of you trying to be cool on you-Tube

Through the way you answer i can think who really is being a kid(you probaly are one hmmm between 10 and 12 and has a father who likes Black Sabbath and because youdo to you think youre the coolest in class)

  • @Slayedjudas666 trying to be cool? see? you're the one who's really a moron! I just don't give a shit of your written bullshit

  • I think you have a problem writing like a civilized person

    WHO STARTED THIS? IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • like a civilized person? I'm not saying nothing of "uncivilized"

    unlike your replies.

I'm tired of talking with you, bye.

  • YOU DONT HAVE TO SAY THE WORD!!!

its the way you react, i know iommi is the band, you think he isnt, why can you not say like all the other people here argue

anyway you always answer and damnit it YOU STARTED THIS

  • I just answered, you can't pretend to write without being answered, so, you started this, face it.

  • i made a comment about the song

then you started whining around that ozzy was the band not only iommi

    so who started?

  • You because i wrote my thought into a comment about a band i like but you came and started to argue about something that is a fact

  • a fact? it's just your opinion man, you can't say that is a fact, when you'll bring me a written contract where is said that Black Sabbath are exclusive property of Tony Iommi, THAT is a fact.

Geezer wrote the 95% of the lyrics, so he isn't enough Sabbath for you, uh?

  • Its a fact because he is the one who actually created the sound

He wrote all the guitar Riffs for them and was on every single album

Most bands have a key member, who wrote most of the songs,Created the music and always stay to the band

If Sabbath would reunite without iommi it wouldnt be sabbath, it just would not work( but you see it works without the other originals)

  • Well water is wet right? Thats a fact isnt it? Or ist that my oppinion?

Iommi is the HEAD of the band, i didnt say the others where bad, but no sabbath without toni, BUT sabbath did exist without Osboune,Butler or Ward

  • so you're saying that what you're saying is a fact like the one which says that water is wet? mah, you're just freaking out, music isn't water, is an art, an abstract conception.

and GOD I LOVE TONY, but you MUST admit that the other members created their sound as well, I'm not saying that I don't like the other eras, I like Dio and Gillan too, Tony Martin too, a bit less.

BUT if you pay attention, the original Sabbath lineup doesn't sound like the others lineups, did you listen to them?

  • Grim Reaper reunited without Nick Bowcott back in 2006, the original guitarist, main songwriter, and key element of that band's signature sound, which many have since criticized, which is perfect proof of your point.

  • Yes exacly

And actually i wouldnt even call them Grim Reaper anymore because of his departure

  • I didnt say that bt the name black sabbath can be passed on without Iommi

Thats why the fans feaked out when the album Seventh star came

Because it featured Toni like if he was some kind of guest musician

  • Tony Iommi is his name

  • you're so fucking right, and Bill Ward and Geezer were such awesome musicians

  • Why thumbs down? I agree at 100%. With great bands like Black Sabbath its never about one member, in my personal opinion Geezer and Buttler are the spirit of BS. I mean without Iommi...nothing. Without Buttler...nothing. Buttler makes the lyrics (mostly) and those awesome bass riffs and melodies (greatest bassist evar) and Iommi...The God of Guitar. Others were awesome too but not as important in my opinion, have you heard Iommis personal stuff, or Buttlers. Pure GOLD

  • @hankaligali For most great bands, theres one or two really important members, and then one or more that influence the sound. Sabbath changed each time the lineup changed, so of course its not only Iommi that defines the band. Some people need to think about that :P

As a side note, im kinda warming up to this album, despite hating it at first

  • True. I had the same thing, at first I hated this album but know I listen it almost all the time :D

  • You're the only other person I've seen who gets it. Geezer Butler and TI make the Sabbath sound, period. One of the greatest bass masters ever!

  • well no one can say that cross purposes for instance isnt a sabbath album because what people consider not being true sabbath are the albums with only iommi of the original members, headless cross is probably the best they had without him.

  • Great album indeed, but this song is some kinda mess, it has this part wich i like A LOT, and this part i dont digg at all, sounds like three songs mixed together into one. Bugs me!

  • undeRRated album...GREAT ALBUM!

  • Not great but definitely underated.

  • sounds a bit like the sign of the southern cross

  • nice song

  • I love that Album, it isnt the normaly Style but that is genious work of Rock!!!

  • its balck sabbath whether you guuys like it or not because sabbath is iommi SIMPLE and this aint that bad iommi still has it on this track man ozzy fans EXAGERATED

  • Excellent song of a excellent album

  • you make me laugh

  • one of the best metal singers ever!! there will never be a replacement for Dio, no one can touch him.

  • True, /../, ...

  • this isnt dio....its actually one of dio's replacements, ironically enough.

  • "this isnt dio."

Shame it wasn't....Would have been magnificent....Had it been touched by a legendary vocalist...

Tony is a great vocalist..with all due respect....But RJD is a legendary vocalist.

  • dont think so, RJD is like a monster, Tony is an angel, a dark one

  • This album was great! Maybe it shouldn't have the name "Black Sabbath" on it, according to a few people who thinks they are Black Sabbath fans.

If this album didn't have Black Sabbath on it, I would have never discovered it and I would've missed out on a great piece of work!

Too few fans of this album. :(

  • the guy doesnt sound like ozzy ...

  • I cannot fucking believe that someone could listen to that incredible song and the only comment they can come up with is, "the guy doesnt sound like ozzy"... Unmotherfucking-believable!! But this is the internet right? I feel sorry for you.

  • no, but he does sound an awful lot like Tony Martin

  • he is tony martin

  • sarcasm genius

  • ha ha :)

  • My fav. song from Forbidden!!

(Come on, the album's not SO bad...!)

  • Yep! Love the album! I know people say its bad....But "bah" away with them! Its a very good album...most of them probally never really gave it a chance! Ha I know right!

  • definitely, as much as i fucking love Ozzy, Iommi is and always will be the heart and soul of Sabbath.

  • Like i said in another previous video I was listening to of a song from this album.....A True Sabbath fan will always Love and Enjoy Black Sabbath's music no matter who is on Vocals!...I am one of them!

Woot! Tony Martin! This album is probally my favorite with Martin on vocals! Next to Headless Cross

  • I don't care what other Sabbath fans think, this album was amazing...It's a shame that Iommi kept screwing Tony Martin over on his contracts...If that hadn't have happened, maybe there'd be a "Headless Cross" reunion tour with Martin and the other members (too bad Cozy wouldn't though :( )

  • Dont compare ozzy, dio and martin....all are metal gods!!!

  • Hey dude, I'm still looking for the unmixed version of this song, it's taking me forever lol (this is BlackCrowMusic btw) this is my other account.

  • c'mon, can't you at least appreciate the Dio era?

  • I don't think they necessarily died.

Tony Martin (in my opinion) brought Sabbath back to the grave and frightening/hellish sound they had in Black Sabbath and Paranoid, in fact I think he made them even darker sounding than Ozzy. I love the Ozzy era, but I think Tony Martin era is my favorite. The only thing that sucks about the Tony Martin era is that Geezer nor Bill were in the band.

  • eh? Geezer was there for Cross Purposes. And he was a beast for the Cross Purposes Live event/cd.

  • sorry but with martin it's song like rock. We just want Metal

  • Dude! this is as Metal as it gets!

  • although sabbath owns nomatter what.. it is not the same without ozzy

  • It is the same, the riffs are still there, Tony Martin, Dio and even Gillan were better with Sabbath than Ozzy was, in my opinion.

  • My fav song off this album.

  • I certainly hope that this occurs as well as I have never gotten to see Tony Martin perform live. The Tony Martin Band almost toured in the U.S. this year.

  • I hope so too

  • @JanoSeishu420

They should bring Tony Martin & Geoff Nicholls into Heaven & Hell

  • lol, and part at 1:00 reminds me of Sign of the Southern Cross

  • as soon as I heard the intro, I thought "Children of the Sea"

  • My favorite is the Tony MArtin era.

  • Not sure if Martin is my fav, but I like him more than Dio, and about the same as ozzy

  • Come to think of it. I heard the demo version of several songs from Forbidden. I like that version to, it has a whole different atmosphere to it. They could just have added Tonys vocals to those versions and it would have sounded just perfect.

  • Unfortunatley i don't. If i do find them i'll tell you right away.

  • Glad you enjoy it. Keep your eyes open for the rest of the songs on this album. I will upload them in a not so distant future.

  • I think that headless cross is the best album overal. The best song with him is Forbidden, closely followed by Valhalla.

  • Yes i do.

  • No i don't think i have. I would say this is the second best song on the album. I like Forbidden a bit better.
