@EliseCharlotte Then you're in for a treat. The Soviet gymnasts from the 70s & 80s were the greatest. Look up Mostepanova, Shushunova, Omelianchik, Ilienko, Baraksanova, Boginskaya, Dudnik, Laschenova, Bitcherova, Davydova. Have fun!

From my experience the soviet sport schools may have put a lot of effort into talented kids, but anyone who didn't make it is mistreated and has no chance at career

Yes, that is yurchenko at 2:11...the others include filatova, zacharova, naimushina, terescheko, davydova, shaposhnikova, Valeria zhidunova, agapova, mukhina
