Finally watched this movie last night after seeing it on the shelf at Blockbuster for two years. Its a work of art. I kept thinking "how can they afford to do this?" when looking at the international locations, sets, costumes, etc... I had never heard of the movie and it apparently didn't make much money. Looks like it was a cinematic art project just to satisfy the producer/director with no concern to being profitable. That's an amazing thing in the film industry.

The theme of the young man down on his luck, feeling despondent, losing hope; & the little girl who needed a daddy figure in her life; & how she needs him, & that need brings him back into hope again -- reminds me of the breakup of my marriage, & being a single father - having a daughter who needed me (acttually, two) had the same effect, got me over being blue, & back into being strong & optimistic, for my children's sake - so I find this film true to life, no matter how Tarsem thought it up

Some of the fights result in blood/graphic images, but nothing excessively disturbing. I don't think there's anything for you to worry about. No sex or nudity, so there won't be any of those awkward moments either...haha.
