I think this is a fair race! M6 does have 80 hp more but it its also a havier car .. Love both cars anyways! That v10 Engine actually came out in 2004 in Europe with the 2004 M5! So its a fair race 997 Turbo came out in 2007 so its a 3 year newer Technology.

I was wrong about a month ago. I own a 996TT and the M6 is faster, stock for stock. Now, I can simply put a software ECU flash on my car that would add about another 90BHP and 90lb-ft, then I'd waste the M6. I still say the TT is the better car. But then again, I'm biased. I recently got rid of the 06 760 and purchased th 08 S 63 AMG. you should test that up against the M5, that would be fair.
for an instance by changing the size of the gear to a bigger siza this will make the piston's movement slower at high speeds ... BUT STILL NEED THE POWER TO KEEP PUSHING :D

Put a 21st-Century, 5.0L, 507bhp v10 BMW against a 20th-Century, 3.6L, 420bhp, flat6 Porsche (996) 911 turbo and the BMW triumphs...
But put a 21st-Century, 3.6L, 480bhp, flat6 Porsche (997) 911 turbo against the M6 and "normal service is resumed..."
And if you want to witness an absolute kicking, put the 523bhp 997 GT2 against BMW's M6 and see what happens...

things that r in paper don;t apply in real life. the e46 m3 in specs 0-60 is in 5 sec. i ve done it in 4,7 and 4,8. remember that the start is not from standing still. i believe cuz they don't want to change the clutch every 10 races.and m5board is a well known site. they don't lie about things. and a better car is not the faster car. an c 63 amg smokes an m3 in a straight line,but on the road m3 will get ahead very fast. i want to see the new m3 on test. m5board has a plan for that little one?

what do you mean wrong? that is what you mean by "wong" right? The 996 turbo is faster, BMW are really heavy remember, beside have you even driven either one of these cars? the BMW would be a challenge on the top end, but not the bottom end.
0-60 times are also faster in pretty much all tests also...
You also can't tell from looking if that has the t50 package on it, so your horse power number of 420 for the 996 is worthless.
I think that the BMW is mod or the Porsche drive sux.

I was wrong about a month ago. I own a 996TT and the M6 is faster, stock for stock. Now, I can simply put a software ECU flash on my car that would add about another 90BHP and 90lb-ft, then I'd waste the M6. I still say the TT is the better car. But then again, I'm biased. Those V10 are outstanding!!

wow. definitely a fake. unless the M6 is modified there's no way that could ever have happened. I love BMW's , I have a 760 li well had one but also have a 997 turbo and know the porsche would beat the M6. I recently got rid of the 06 760 and purchased th 08 S 63 AMG. you should test that up against the M5, that would be fair.
