  • J- your comments def helped. The 1st 238 I shot was one of the earliest issues. Have shot a more recent one and agree with "she just eat em up." Your comments made me give this mini 1911 a 2nd chance and I'm glad i did.

1st time I had to reply in 2 weeks. Since than Tuscon happened. Envied you & your Dad's extended mags. Better buy more while you can...It wasn't mag capacity that caused a tragedy-it was lunatic who should have never been allowed to own any gun even with a standard mag.

  • @claytonmnagle43 good to hear your enjoying the Sig now. Yeah it annoys me that people like to blame an innanimate object when its the users fault. To a trained shooter mag capacity isnt that trivial. Anyone worth thier salt can reload in a short ammount of time.

  • Howdy- would love to have a 30+ mag "legally" in New Jersey. "Illegal" is a sick bird... Nice shootin on your Dad's part.

Now that you've had your p238 sig for awhile what's your thoughts? Thinking of getting one as a secondary. I'm a Kimber 1911 guy but like the size of the sig. Borrowed one from a buddy and had 5 FTF's on a box of 50 .380's. Appreciate your thoughts. Happy New Year.

  • @claytonmnagle43 Ive put probably 500 rds ball and 50rd hollow through the sig and she just eats em up. I think ive MAYBE had 3 stovepipes but every time i pull the triger she goes bang. IIRC there was a recall for the early ones but I havnt had an issue with it. I rotate it and my glock 30sf for carry and have no worrys about the sig. I hope this helps!
