That's a very cynical way of looking at it man. I can think of a few examples like abraham lincoln, andrew jackson & hugo chavez, they all did not bow to such coercion, and there's plenty more where they came from.

Unless we have a credible alternative media to act like a public watch dog the "talks" will continue unabated, and the people that give in to them should be exposed along with the ones who don't. Take heart my friend, good guys still exist, but it does not mean they're beyond reproach

Mr Green reminds me of our Ron Paul,Mr ,Paul is getting older but after what we have now i expect him to do a lot better in the next election,Perhaps ..There is an old saying that "democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding on what to have for dinner" ,I think that what you are now experiencing is somewhat related to what Ben Frankin was alluding to when he said that .
