Saw CofM - thought it was good, but not great. I liken it to another interesting movie - A Handmaid's Tale - both tell interesting stories of alternate futures, but both films lack something that keeps them from being "binder worthy" :)
same guy who wrote "Kids" - yes? I really have a problem with Kids, so I didn't watch Gummo. I'd be interested to hear if you think it's worth it on its own merit.
Ok, so I'm a million years late in watching this, BUT! Ghost World is one of my favorite movies of all time. I'm so glad you have it. Daniel Clowes is so amazing. I love his comics.
And I have to say...The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was a great film with a great performance by Brad Pitt. I think it should have got more oscars than that retarded Slumdog millionaire movie. Oh jeeze, a foreign film about an Indian Who want to be a millionaire, GOLD!
I love this series. My favorite Bill Murray movies are actually the Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, and Lost in Translation. Can't wait to see some more!
that's interesting, since "Equilibrium" was in the binder and I skipped over it thinking no one else would have seen it, but I guess now that Bale is Batman, more and more people will give it a chance.
Equilibrium was highly overlooked mostly because of The Matrix, but those of us that saw Equilibrium even after seeing the Matrix thought it was better.
Fight Club is an awesome movie. Edward Norton does such a great job. I like Escape from New York also. Escape from LA was also good. I'm hoping when you get to the R's that you have the Rocky movies. Thought you were going to say Ghost Busters when you said Bill Murray. Ground Hog Day is also a good movie. nice collection so far.
gotta admit - I saw DD and thought it was interesting, but I was not blown away. I was working at a video store when it came out, and it became THE teenage rental for a while, taking over from "Kids."
I'm kind of a physics nerd so the ideas that they played with dealing with the theory of time travel I thought was cool. It's not the greatest movie but still probably one of my favorites. Not to mention it has one hell of an awesome cast.
Have you seen Children of Men? Noticed it wasn't in your C's Excellent, excellent film, the story, directing, and acting blew me away.

Jason, I enjoyed the insightful walk through of your DVD collection. Totally agree with you about Casablanca and Citizen Kane, too.

I've never seen Casa Blanca but I've seen Citizen Kane and I really enjoyed it. A friend of my in high school was a 40-50's movie buff.

Now that I watch more of this I can see great potential in a series based on your DVD binder... keep em coming! Be sure not to skip too many :]

ah the irony of you saying groundhog day is so repeatable. You should put some links to IMDB(.)net to reinforce the titles of the movies.
(going back to watch first video to hear names)

OK - I'll include a list in vid #3 and on with the titles of the films I mention. :)

You should watch Equilibrium starring Christian Bale, you might like it. Also, I'm surprised you didn't include Bladerunner in your first video.

Logans Run...great favorite science fiction movie.
The Carousel is such an ominous name...once you find out it sort of kills people.
