HD2 & N97 mini camcorder comparison

Nokia N97 mini is much better than the HTC HD2.

I'm thinking about buying the nokia, whether it's a good choice?

I love my hd2. I wish i could show you all what fiiiine pictures ive taken with my hd2. I putted a vid made by hd2 camcorder, but i noticed that youtbe makes the quality not as good :S. So it is hard to see how good it actually is in recording. However pictures are extremly beutiful! (In highlighted areas, pics and vids arent so good in dark areas).

the video on the n97 as with all nokias comes out on top!! and the audio on the n97 mini was loads better even with your finger over the mic!! n97 mini FTW!!!!

Yeah N97 mini hands down. Wow! I didn't realize both of these phones had a day and night difference between their cameras. The LED could be better on the mini but I would take the Mini over the HD2 any day, no questions asked. Good comparison.

I think the N97 in both the dark and light but the HTC is still very good one thing is the audio sounds shit on HD2 but really good and has much more bass on N97.

I agree with your review but it must be noted that compares to all windows mobile video recording before it, this is 3000% better. Its faily close behind the N97... old windows mobiles would be like 7fps and fuzzy and pixels everywhere. Compared this looks like good news for the future of camera stuff from HTC.

HTC is only just advancing it technology so you cant look down on the HD2, but you r right that the HD2 does have grayness, but recently, HTC just release a update on the website to improve the camera, and guess what, it really improve alot

I kind of like the HD2 video's colors. The N97 mini really performs better in a low-light environment and has better frame rate...

I'm getting the HD2 this week :) (do'nt mind, because video is not something I use every day)

I favor the N97 Mini's video footage, as the HD2's video just has that florescent green that prevents the ideal video color rendering and reproduction.

The HD2 had a little bit darkness in the video! Trent could you shoot in the sunlight not indoors so we could decide which is better ???

n86 has a superior camera but i think the n900 is hte ultimate device right now just too many applications and stuff out there and it runs so smooth but you cant mess with the oled screen on the n86

its so hard to decide between devices what you think trent? n900 worth the money over the n86?

the screen is very nice if your indoors, but it is very bad outdoors, I have an n85, and it has an oled screen aswell, but the screen is pretty bad outdoos, let alone with the sun:S

the whole point of the screen is for it to be better outdoors i doubt you have an n85 ive seen how nice it is outdoors on the n86

I've Currently Own The N86 And I've Made A Couple Of Videos With The N900. If Those Are The Phones You Want To Pick From Then You Will Have To Decide Whether You Want To Text With 1 Hand Or 2.

The N86 Is Great At T9 Texting With 1 Hand But The N900 Is Only In Landscape Mode So You Are Forced To Always Text With 2 Hands. That Could Be A Serious Pain If You Have To Send A Urgent Message And Your Other Hand Is Occupied.

I Think That It's A Give&Take Between Both Phones. Both Are Superb.

& latter Xda fourms has a fix for it

you pay all that for that HTC HD2 and still they let customers down! nothing has changed with HTC . The very first models of HTC (xda's) camera quality is just the same, slightly better from the models in 2003. You would expect them to have improved..but they haven't. I think they need to get it through their heads, that business people and normal working people buy these devices..and everyone loves a good camera.

I think the frame-rate is lower because in the UK, and Europe, we use Pal (25p), while you use NTSC (30p). That is why :D

The HTC HD2 has pink spot issue, try to check out newer rom version which solves this problem and also maybe error with the voice.

I'm waiting for Urs N97 mini review cos I'm looking for some replacement of my good old E90...
