you should definatly make a gbb with this system...like take a gbb and re wire the gas to go from the hpa tank, to the grip, to the internal bolt...that way you have no $50+ mags or cool down effect
Is it possible to drop this in a DBOYS scar body? I have been looking into them. I also have an M249, and i understand you are making custom kits soon?
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Never move to China or Taiwan, I want airsoft to have a US M4 Manufacture, I personally love you guys and your rifles, never move, stay patriotic, if you move i am going to cry... :|
@PolarStarAirsoft so I read on a forum a projected price for the drop in will be around 450 , is that correct ? Also is the air nozzle a proprietary design ? becasue I plan on installing it into a masada which utilizes a sr25 style nozzle ..
@xxthedrizzlexx Due to the design of the Fusion Engine the air nozzle had to be a proprietary design. In the future we plan on offering different length nozzles and selector plates to be compatible with other AEGs using the V2 gearbox. (We've already made a nozzle for the G&G GR25 would that work?)
@PolarStarAirsoft I dont fully understand how the new fusion engine works. I do know that it is much better than any AEG for longetivity performance even, and durability, but how does it work? I know the engine uses almost no moving parts, but what source of energy do you use for the trigger response? It cant be gas, it has to be electric, so, really, don't you still need to use a battery AND pressurized air/c02 or gas to power this gun>?
@TheSympathize The trigger is an electronic switch and the BB is propelled by HPA. There are a few good reviews online. Also check our facebook page for more details.
@dwelby101 Either the airsofters you play with are extremely physical or you're being overly paranoid. The majority of classic airsoft guns are powered externally and I doubt that they would continue to have such a dedicated following if it were such a major issue.
Any solution involving a "custom" tank or buffer tube tank (with realistic dimensions) would limit the system's operator to a couple hundred shots at best.
1) carrying lots of small air tanks at all times which can get VERY heavy, or
2) leaving the field to refill the one "custom" air tank, or
3) using tiny CO2 cartridges which would give less than 50 shots.
This system was designed for players who need reliable, high performance internals that could fill multiple roles without reshimming. Players who are tired of having to constantly spend money fixing their airsoft gun or having to adjust it just to go to a game or big Op.
@PolarStarAirsoft yeah, i understand, don't get me wrong, i think its a fantastic development for the airsoft world, I just think that a self contained unit would be more suited and would also reflect a more realistic looking gun. For me part of the allure of airsoft is having real imitation kit and having a gun thats hooked up to an air tank doesn't do it for me. I am basing this on my ignorant assumptions of size, weight, etc maybe the unit isn't as intrusive as I imagine...
While a self contained system would be nice it too has its drawbacks. For the majority of players, the current gas in mag rifles lack long term durability, have an extremely low rate of reliability, feature absolutely no shot to shot consistency for FPS or ROF, suffer from cool down and are ridiculously expensive to maintain or repair. Plus the special magazines for those rifles puts that price tag even higher. We believe our system's performance capabilities will win you over. :)
@PolarStarAirsoft I agree 100%, i have no want for a GBBR for all of the reasons you mentioned. I am looking forward to seeing your system in the flesh and I am most definitely interested in its capabilities. So, how soon can we expect to see it on the shelves and are there any plans for future self contained/more compact systems?
crap, thats just gone and taken the appeal out of it for me, unless they go and make a crane stock-shaped air tank... even then it limits the system to crane stocks. Is there any proposed solution to hiding the tank?
@dwelby101 a backpack attached to the molle webbing on the back of your tank. maybe those small hydration carrier backpacks? thats what i was thinking.
@PureMeteora That's another solution i guess but then the gun becomes more than a single, stand-alone unit, its attached to an external power source which leaves it open to the possibility of the connecting tube being forcefully removed, either accidently or on purpose by an opposing player... I guess one other option would be to "fill" the empty space in the forgrip or inside the RIS that surrounds the barrell with a custom fit tank for each different type of gun.
What powers these? in each video i see there is a tube coming from the pistolgrip and its always out of shot, is it a big unit that connects to the gun? any ideas?
looks sick. im most likely gonna wait for the second generation to come out so if there are any hiccups they will be solved by then but i am excited about this product. Just wondering tho whats the max rof you have gotten up to with this?
@Horhey232 gen one i believe mostly refers to the gearbox type. Gen one will be for the V2 gearbox, gen 2 will be for V3 ect. I doubt they are going to build a completely different gearbox design. Unless it had a recoil effect
@HammerheadWOC not exactly. we tech m4s are on generation 6. the 6th being open bolt. so it means really by when they change something about it. maybe like a weak part or something like that.
@Horhey232 WE are also notorious for releasing crap that breaks, with EVERY one of their generations. Polarstarairsoft makes high quality parts. And is a far smaller company. They will need to bring premium to the table to compete.
@HammerheadWOC that is true though there g36 is a tad better but still if u want a gbb i just tell people to save up and get a G&P. anyways yeah it should be good but i just want to test the water before i jump in u know?

Alright so I am looking into investing in maybe one or two of these and was wondering the comparability in my plans...
SR-16 (wanting to make it safe-semi-3 round)
M-4 (standard version 2 gearbox but I want it around 30 rounds per second)
MP-5 (shooting roughly 40 rounds per second)
possibly a M60 with a high rof)
I get free air fills at work so this is a pretty badass system for me and was wondering the price estimate for these...

@Horhey232 450 for the drop in kit, i think its around 650-750 for the complete m4
