what an egotistical, masturbatory lunatic. Saw his nonsense at the 2010 Junction Festival and could not believe he calls this performance art. Nice rack on the blonde, though and I think that is pretty much what held the audience attention.
...but not by process of cancellation.I'm not sure what to think. I have a lot of respect for his efforts, but it's the 2000s and what just happened on video is I would have expected to happen if there was no camera.I see the musuem as good for public education and the intellectuallization of art;we need it just so the public will even come into contact with cultural production.perhaps the question should be: how can we put istvan's work into a museum?
Wow. They make it really clear that a museum is a one-way dead medium, like television, where it can talk to you but you can't talk back. So there can never be any real discourse or any meaningful communication. Everything in the museum is thereby suspect; reduced to mere propaganda. Museums are as useless to us as people who won't shut up and refuse to listen. Their wall of hyper paranoid "security", of willful ignorance, renders them dead and useless. Museums are the graveyards for art.

Istvan is banned from more galleries and museums than you or your children's children will have or will have ever visited.
If art cannot be sold. It must be destroyed.
Long live Neosim.
Long live the revolution
