I remember the Spring nights would catch up to us. We would be hanging in the back of the junior high(Walters) drinkin JD or Jim Beam. Suddenly in the distance we could all hear a beast call for war! We knew the call. A blown Ford or a Corvette lighting up the pavement. We would run for our Schwinns and scramble for the house to dump out all the drawers looking for change. Ride down Stevenson to Blakow road over 880 & the finally that sweet smelling fuel would make our mouths water. Baylands:(
