To be more accurate, Armik is considered Nuevo Flamenco. Which is Flamenco mixed with modern pop and world music, and very often played with a pick. Another example of this style would be Strunz and Farah.

This is a guy playing a "spanish guitar" and nothing more. Beyond that only a distant relationship with flamenco because it's the same TYPE of guitar. Not the same type of MUSIC. I personally prefer Flamenco.

Listen to Paco de Lucia, Paco Cepero, Tomatito etc.

I believe the genre is typically called 'nuevo flamenco'. Includes other players like Jesse Cook, Eric Hansen, Oscar Lopez, Johannes Linstead, etc.

Actually its called flamenco fusion or nuevo flamenco. However, Armik sounds different from others who sound alike(Cook Liebert, etc.) Armik is certainly unique, there is no like him.
