i witnessed the incapabilities of the philippine coast guard! if the philippine gov't cannot armed and modernized them better phase out the coast guard. they menacing the coast instead of protecting it,sadly mostly of them are corrupt!somewhere between surigao and southern leyte coast guard controls the fow of illegal lumber from dinagat!police also shares the corruption by the sea

Our Coast Guard lack the equipment and benefits they need to further achieve their operations. But the good thing about them is they never give up serving the country,they should also be recognize despite of everything... What our Coast Guard need are some cutter,patrol boats,aircraft and more rigid hull inflatable boats and most importantly better communication and detection & tracking equipment to advance their capabilities way beyond our own shores..
