Great stuff! Only thing I don't like about Cave In is how they pressed their early records. Way too limited edition, which makes them way too expensive, even a year after they came out! Now they are going for $50-100 for the Hydrahead stuff.
Watching this video makes me feel like a kid again, this was my life for so many years. i die a little inside each time i pass a hot topic. the "scene" as i knew it is dead. cut your hair.
that is most definitely backdoor. thats where i saw my first hardcore shows. Its still there but just a skate shop now. I saw a fucking awsome show there, party of helicopters, a very young daughters, and i would set myself on fire for you who fuckin' owed! great place, sucks i missed this one, i would have still been in high school
That's scrod doing vocals, his brief stay with cave in. Pretty sure thats kyte on bass also. (best known for his work with barrit and the year of our lord.
this show was at backdoor skatepark in greenville, nc. summer of 98? not sure, but i do recognize half of the kids in the crowd. i missed this show. bummer. this place is where max ward said spazz played their best show ever, and it's on the same video. and a severed head of state show at backdoor is the photo inside the anathema device lp.
travis was only in the band from november 97 until march 98 (hence why i labeled it 97/98), so it couldnt have been summer, but thanks for the location.
i do happen to have one full set from december 99, with them as 4 piece, playing mostly UYHS material, but its VERY dark, so im working on lightening it up before i upload.
forgot how good this band used to be.....

Even though they were young and really throwing their instruments around, this is practically a perfect rendition of a great song. Brilliant.
