Nope, we used 400 to 600 mainline and leader. You will just lose a bunch of fish with that small of line.

You are right. We have caught hundreds of them. They rule the roost/Gulf over here. If you can fit into there mouths they would try and eat you. LOL We have caught the same fish multiple times.

high mortaliy rate from this "catch and release" fishing. The fish are often stressed to the point that they do not survive. Fish like the one shown in this video are much older then you would think, many large rockfish for example are well over 100 years old. Its sad but as their environment has been destroyed and commercial and sport/charter fishing make these large fish ever so more rare.
