Okay.... how on Earth does that carving look like a being wearing an astronaut suit? It looks like the sculpture of someone wearing a crown and perhaps a robe and tons of jewellery (a king or emperor or priest perhaps?)
A box with tubes coming out. Oh man, I love this show, but ancient man also believed in many different types of "Gods"... Gods with snakeheads and monkey faces and pretty much everything else humans can imagine. I love when Tsoukalos talks about the ant people and the lizard people....and we all know Jesus was a hybrid alien. ;)
@specialforces69 If you don't know the answer to those questions by now, I understand why you believe the Ancient Assonaut Hypothesis. Read my messages again; you might learn something...
@specialforces69 So you resort to physical threats instead of rational argument. You have proven yourself to be ignorant in the face of overwhelming logical argument. Also you underestimate my ability to not give a fuck about the physical appearance.
You're a moron. And you make up for it with physical threats and assertions of superiority.

@specialforces69 I don't see what your comment has to do with me calling you out on threatening somebody over the internet with physical violence. You can make as many empty threats as you like, but you're still retarded - although to your credit you had no problem admitting it so good on you for being comfortable with your tiny/damaged brain.
@specialforces69 = Keyboard warrior. Congratulations on making yourself look retarded with your simple minded views and then capping it off by threatening somebody over the internet with physical violence and THEN implying you've felt the touch of a woman at some point in your life.
As an impartial observer and a champion of the internet, I declare you to be an utter tool. Good day to you sir or madam.
@specialforces69 BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA! You really are mad aren't you.... Wow... One day, once you've realised the error of your ways; you'll look back on this day and think "what a cock I was"... Savour it... It'll be the day you grow up and become a man...
@specialforces69 The fact that different cultures believe(d) in gods can be explained via various branches of Psychology and Neurochemistry. And no, I do not concede to any of your points.
But let us consider the possibility. Isn't it infinitely more likely that simularities in mythology are the result of simular story-telling/psychology/social influences than Little-Green-Men/Interdimentional Beings/Dark Lord Cthulu.
@specialforces69 Parsimony, Special, Parsimony. If you already accept that Humans could have made the structures; why the hell would you invoke Space Aliens or Interdimentional beings? It really beggars belief.
@specialforces69 Trust me. I don't think anybody posting on here wouldn't want the answer to be Aliens.
But you are coming across as a lunatic. Going "Well if not Aliens then Interdimentional beings" Is the equivalent of saying "If not the Tooth-Fairy then Crab-People".
@specialforces69 The problem is. Many ideas actually ARE nonsense. The fact that some ideas turned out to be true is to magisterially underestimate how many were not...
@Spoonfoon This is a point I have made before and you have stated it very eloquently here. It bears repeating.
Actually, though, I can't think of ANY examples where some amateur, in contradiction to scientific consensus, has EVER contributed any knowledge which would overthrow that consensus. But even if that ever did happen, what we don't see is the army of crackpots whose bogus claims have been forgotten.
Some get resurrected, though. That's what Tsoukalos is doing.
@bobscanfly Actually, yes we can, though I would never assert that we are, as that would be just as arrogant as asserting we aren't. At least at this point, there is NO legitimate evidence to suggest that we have ever been visited by aliens.
It helps to understand interstellar distances and the constraints that physics places on ANY would-be star travelers, no matter how advanced.
Have you ever considered how our moon was probably formed and how it may have been instrumental in abiogenesis?
@specialforces69 "...the chances of humans without any advanced tools of doing those structures are slim to none." I dispute this claim. Show me any credentialed expert in this field who agrees with it.
Some ideas in the past *were* ridiculous. And the same is true today.
I believe that there may be alien life elsewhere, but that there is NO decent evidence that they have ever been to this planet. Nor is there any reason to believe they should have been, considering interstellar distances.
@Astrobrant2 I believe the Ancient Assonaut theory, truthfully, I do. Interstellar distances can be explained through the use of "worm holes". Ancient Assonauts, according to the theory, probably used these to travel to our planet long ago.
There is MUCH evidence to support the Ancient Assonaut Hypothesis. I could go on for decades about it, but I won't. I once wrote for Legendary Times Magazine, but never sent in to get published.
@yesiamawizardjonny Wormholes are purely hypothetical, speculative stuff. Even if they did exist, there's no reason to believe they would aid in interstellar travel.
There is also the fact that there is no evidence which would compel anyone to believe in ancient astronauts. In addition, the claims of those who promote this idea are riddled with amateurish mistakes and unfounded speculation. They follow the same kind of track as stories of the Bermuda Triangle, Loch Ness monster, and Bigfoot.
@specialforces69 I'm not dodging anything. You made claims of the same nature as many that have preceded them and have *never* turned out to be valid. I've been all through this stuff during the Von Daniken days, and I've watched these videos. It's nothing new to me. SS,DD.
Here's one way you can tell: IF there was any legitimacy to it, it would be picked up by *real* experts and they would be winning Nobel and Pulitzer prizes. Or do you believe there is a conspiracy to cover this stuff up?
@specialforces69 Woo-woo pyramidologists have claimed that the Giza pyramids couldn't have been built without advanced technology. No, I'm not amazed by their unfounded assertions. The real experts are in awe of the resourcefulness of these ancient builders, but have already demonstrated how it could be done with their technology.
Why would aliens help humans with stone age projects? Wouldn't they have taught them about disease control or metallurgy ?
@specialforces69 Here's a theory: we've greatly underestimated the ingenuity of our forefathers. Sure they believed in ridiculous gods, but that doesn't mean they were any less intelligent. Only culturally different.
I'll stick to that, personally. Neither "God" nor "aliens", just man and his unbelievable potential.
@SiGhast Another very good point, and I have made it in the past, (back in my VonDaniken debunking days.)
Ancients seem primitive to us because they did not have the advantage of all the knowledge and technology that has been developed since then. A very false premise of the ancient astronauts theory is that ancients could not have done these things, but AA theorists fail to realize that they were just as smart and creative as we are.
Anybody who doubts this, read Euclid's "Elements."
@specialforces69 I have lived long enough to know this is all baloney. VonDaniken made his career off of conning people about ancient astronauts. He and Sitchin and other of his ilk have had all their claims totally discredited by *real* archaeologists.
Just because some idea is new and exciting doesn't mean it's right. In fact, new ideas from uncredentialed, pseudo-scientific woo-woos are NEVER right. Comparing these people to real scientific investigators of old is an insult.
Sure makes a quick jump from "looks like" a being wearing an astronaut suit to us having been actually visited by extra terrestrials. I tend to agree with Astrobrant2, that they are simply stylized representations of their gods.
I think it is likely that *some* life exists elsewhere in the universe. I can't prove this. It would be unreasonable for me to claim with certainty that some life does exist elsewhere... but an even bigger leap would be claiming that that life has/does visit Earth.
Isn't it weird that gods and aliens all created us in THEIR image, and yet we humans, the sculptors of these monuments, NEVER created any gods or aliens in OUR image? I don't know about you, Giorgio, but it really boggles my mind....

You'd think that such a claim would demand exceptional physical evidence, and yet, this guy and his criminal predecessor, Von Daniken, have never presented ANYTHING but supernatural myths and "weird" sculptures and drawings.
@TheLuNaTiK89 Productions, (and books), of this ilk are rife with misleading tactics. I was thinking about making a video just on the Columbus portion, just to show how deceptive these people are.
I'm still waiting for someone like VonDaniken or Sitchin or Tsoukalos to publish their findings for peer review. (Yes, I know the first two are dead, but there will always be others, like Tsoukalos, to pick up their bunk and make a career selling it to gullible woo-woos.)
