  • Avon was a sleazball in the end

  • Avon trollface at 6:15.

  • This is how it is, the people at the top will fall on all their soldiers to protect their ass....but then go on about snitches.

    The game is rigged.

  • omfg,u cannot fcks with a top level lawyer even with evidence,he was really their & marlo's strongest weapon/asset.

  • damn 20 years for a click

  • 20 years is to long though damn i felt sorry for d

  • wee bay was the real g though taking all of the bodies

levy was to good of a lawyer even if he was a crook

  • The title of this is wrong. Avon didn't give up his people, they all agreed to take pleas. Avon never snitched on anybody.

  • @GRG313 he snitched on the guard

  • @jubileeshine He didn't snitch on him, he set him up. Big difference. Besides, that was a strategic move to get a dick head security guard off Weebey's ass (no homo) while gaining his freedom at the same time. Two birds with one stone.

  • @GRG313 if he aint snitch him out then how they know to search his car

  • @jubileeshine Read my comment again...he SET HIM UP! He planted the shit there and told so he could get caught and out the way...and it was payback. Snitching is telling on somebody out of fear of getting time or in an attempt to get reduced time. Put it like this, he wouldn't have set him up if the guy wasn't an asshole. And that was a smart way to get him back.

  • @GRG313 he knew he was dealing and put the guards on him. he told the guards. out of fear of getting time. in an attempt to get reduced time.

but the title doesn't say he snitched on his people. you are wrong twice.

  • @jubileeshine I never said the title said he snitched, I said he didn't give up his people...which is clearly what the title says.

  • 6:34 , frikin awesome reference to the first episode!

    'Nicely done!' :D :D :D

  • 5:45 great reference to the first episode.

  • its weird, ive watched the whole 5 series of the wire 3 times. but somehow i kinda "get it" or something a bit more watching small clips on youtube

  • 6:28

  • @kandinskyforfootball

    not gon' buckle.

  • they were giving out time like candy shiiiet the state allowable sentence 2o years state allowable sentence 15 years

  • i think the lesson in this story is: always use a white or jewish lawyer XD

  • ESSEX COUNTY ALL DAY!!!!

  • @tahthedon essex smells like shit lol litterally

  • @MUSICHUSTLA AY FUCK YOU NIGGA! you right tho.....

  • "Nicely done..." -Russel Bell

  • damn. can't believe avon would give all his people including his nephew up.

  • the lady @2:08, i would love to get into her cookie!

  • the lawyer they chose was great, but wouldnt it be hilarious if the lawyer was played by Jon Lovitz! I love that guy!

  • Watching this scene again, just gives mixed feelings. Seriously, what kind of mother would convince their son to take 20 years. When I watched that, I felt really sorry for D'Angelo.

  • @alec1115 A mother who cares more about money (from the game obviously) than her son. Pretty pathetic shit.

  • love the look he gives mcnulty at the end

  • Wow!!!!! This proves that if you have a great lawyer, you can get away with just about anything.

  • @ndc18

    Did someone say O.J.?

  • The Barksdales even park illegal in front of a fire hydrant.

  • avon was right about d'angelo all he did was complain and wanted to be left alone in jail.... avon understood that and only spoke with him once in awhile to checkup on him and stringer fucked it up

  • barksdale was the boss the workers are supposed to take the hit.the lawyer is the shit, because all in all at the end of the game nothing was lost but his bitch ass nephew and he was a rat,so no lost at all

  • That one he eats

  • fuckin RONNIE MOE!

  • how dey owned all dat real estate but only picked up one key and dats 36 ounces even after its been steped on its still not anuff to suply one tower and haveing his sister son picked the shit up was stupid

  • @JediRebelKid.......Man, you ain't lying! Shit, I'm going with you! LOL

  • I gotta take my ass to law school. That nigga Levy is the truth.

  • this shit just sounds like when im in court..not for drugs tho.

  • jeeeeeew!

  • What the actor did in his performance as Levy was great because the character, on paper, is very one-dimensional (especially compared to Avon and Stringer). They made Levy realistic and compelling to watch while still depicting him as completely unsympathetic.

  • I felt bad for D'angelo at the end

  • Avon was strong and vicious on the street but not as smart about covering himself from investigation. Makes sense that Avon get taken down by police.

  • "he not gonne buck" - meaning? Anyone?

  • @kandinskyforfootball not going to snitch.

  • Wow I have only seen seasons 4 and 5 and they do not compare to the previous ones.

  • 7 people gave gregthesplintercell a bad comment how many of you wannabe youtube comment gansters have being in jail? i dont think u were bigtone113 mr stage manager!!!

  • forreal.

  • Thumbs up to that, bet you 99% of you have never even been inside a police cell..your dedication to 'the game' might just slip a bit if you had 20+ years hanging over you for someone else's fuck up. I've known so many people who've preached about how snitching is wrong, and how they wouldn't snitch on someone even if that person murdered a member of their family who've turned out to be the worst grasses I've ever known.

  • @Pepotamo1985 wow, what a gangster!!!

  • @oreilg1 REAL GANSTERS don't get on youtube. I doubt they give a damn about a computer. REAL TALK.

  • that lawyer is the MANNN lol

  • Wierd camera shots in this scene. Interesting.

  • @SulfurCitizen

I was just about to make this observation and did a word search to see if anyone else felt the same way. Really great shots in that scene. I like the way that the wall behind Levy seems askew. Of course that's because he's standing on a ramp, but I can't believe his placement there wasn't intentional by the director. It's a great visual commentary on his character.

  • @mseales I see what you guys mean. One shot of Avon it seems as he is standing at the bottom of a valley, as is everything was about flow downhill for him...

  • Comment removed

  • @greg...then make sure your weak ass don't get into the game. PLEASE!

  • They picked a great slimy looking fuck to play the lawyer.

  • yeha he gave a pretty flawless performance

  • All the actors stepped their games up.The cast said the guy who played Clay Davis was their favorite actor on the series.

  • shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit

  • @maxINaus and this show depicts niggas preety well

  • @maxINaus Jewish ofcourse

  • @maxINaus that thie point. he has to slimy lol.

  • Hey, is it me or when Perlman was reading the evidence against Avon, NONE of those guys were in handcuffs, (sitting with their hands clasped in front of them) and then when she was reading the evidence against DeAngelo everyone was in handcuffs with their hands behind their backs? Just wondering. Check it out.

  • @FingazInc probably because avon got charged first in order for him to give up all his people (who were not convicted yet so probably not cuffed then after he testified they were all fucked anyway

  • Ahhhhh.....gotcha!

  • Its not snitchin u dickhead. Its understood that when ur in a crew u take the fall when u can for the boss, U fukin faggot

  • so you can become a faggot in prison while he sips champaign and does your woman when she comes crying to him for the rent. Then when the kid comes about the time you're getting out (if you're lucky) you can name it after him since he'll be its papa.

All according to plan, of course, as you need good loyal subordinates to take the fall and hold the bag when the time comes.

You can join my crew anytime wutang. I need a fall guy on hold at all times.

  • it must have been hard for avon to give up his cousin! 20 years is a long time! i wonder how them other dudes feel knowin avon snitched on them to free himself.

  • mike vick has returned

  • coffe468...on first series avon and string were way to close for avon even to consider him snitch...plus on first series string keeps it real, is always real smart, and is doing both thinkin (or more "active" thinkin, executing avon ideas perfectly). he changes since the d,angelo hit

  • Lawyer: In the mean time what you wanna do about the people they locked up?

    Stringer: We gotta pull em.

Avon: Nah thats showin alot of money.

Stringer: Well if we don't then we willing to risk making them enemies.

Look at how them muhfuckas gotta think. Thats just crazy. Its real shit though! You gotta really determine the lesser of two evils. This shows both String and Avon were mentally equipped to be in the drug business though.

  • anyone else find it funny that it never even occured to avon that stringer couldve snitched and thats why he wasn't arrested, but stringer ended up snitching on him anyway?

  • avon

  • i would've like to see someone blast levy

  • why don't you get a life. you get a kick out of sitting on the net making racist statements. Truly a loser.

  • i need levy as my lawyer lol

  • hahahaha

  • Levy is my Dog, I like that dude. Even though it's all about the money to him he does his job well and really tries to work in the best interest of his client. Avon was lucky he had that man.

  • Omar is Levy's kyrptonite, hahah

  • is this season 1 ??

  • yeah, season 1

  • Well, it's good to have morals I guess.... sort of.

  • Internet thugs...I swear...

  • lol..where was i a thug? show me?

  • n if i say im ambitious; its in ALL that I do..I take after my mother in that regard. If I was shoveling shit for a living, Id be an ambitious shit shoveler; dont get excited, I aint on a hype. Niggaz cant even share a thought on the net no more without being criticized.

  • lol.internet gangstas

  • if you cant see behind what i was saying; thats your problem.

  • levy is a jew with no heart.

  • Levy is a damn good lawyer..

he knows his shit, he never sweats, and he's always in control..i like that

  • agreed on that point. great lawyer, but a rotten human being. he's the most loathsome, despicable motherfucker in the whole series

  • lol Levy waz koo...whoelse could you tell Every Secret in the World to...and know it wouldnt come back to haunt you?? thats the type of lawyer i need...

    iLL .

  • Not that iLL

    stiLL

  • ahem MARLO MARLO

  • I don't know, man. Marlo is a POS in his own right, but without Levy all those guys are spending decades in prison. He's the man behind the curtain for both Marlo and the Barksdales.

  • dude if it wasn't levy it'd be someone else.

Plus marlo didnt have to be as bad as he was, but he chose to be that bad. all levy did was cheat the legal system...marlo freakin killed people unrelated to the game for no reason at all!

how is it not clear that marlo wasnt the most evil person on the show? go watch the show again

  • marlo did what he had to do and some he left no stones un turned

  • and thats exactly y he a lawyer. i couldnt do it

  • @pizzawar And a jew. Whoops, same thing.

  • @pizzawar Sadly that's his job. He's a defense Lawyer. Most are dirty

  • @pizzawar Sadly that's his job. He's a defense Lawyer. Most are dirty

  • @pizzawar Levy is the best character in the entire show

  • @pizzawar I don't see how you can hate the lawyer more than anyone else... What I got from the show is that the whole system is screwed up, and so is everyone involved.

  • @pizzawar without him, po-po wouldn't of got a lead on marlo. he literally was the root of the demise of marlo & he actually looks him straight in the eye like he did nothing. loll

  • @pizzawar I agree.

  • levy was just doing the job he was paid to do. if he didnt do it then someone eles would. the man i hated the most was the fat cop. his job was to make sure murders were solved but he couldnt care less, all he cared about was turning the red names into black and keep his boss off his back. if that meant sending an innocent man to jail or turning a blind eye to murder then so be it. he was the epitome of what was wrong with baltimore. cops have a duty to socity and victims of crime, lawers dont.

  • I think Landsman was kind of an symphatetic character. Sure He was more part of the problem than the solution, but all and all he was just trying to make his way in a dysfunctional institution. And what he did for Bubbles showed that overall he was a good person.

  • @ikosabre helping one junky who did nothing wrong to begin with does not make up for the fact that he allowed maybe 100's of people to get away with murder for the sake of better stats. the man was lower then any other character in the whole series other then maybe his roll dog rawls.

  • exactly where does he let people get away with murder. He want,s to solve the murders, but is working under huge pressure. I have,t seen any case where he tried to cover up a murder. Ofcourse there,s the row-house murders, but he only wanted the year to end so the stats would look good and then get the bodies out of the houses. I get what you mean, but I see the guy only as an middle-man who,s in tight spot, trying to run a unit and to please his bosses

  • @ikosabre the row house murders was exactly what i was thinking about. as head of the homocide unit, he should solving murders no matter what the stats look like. also the case with omar and the tax payer murder. he was more then happy to send omar to jail and let chris get away with murder. it's only cos bunk completely rubbished the case that he was forced to let omar go. even the he wasnted happy about it. im sure there more but i havent seen the show in years but i know he's a real shit bag.

  • @ikosabre I agree; good writing

  • @pizzawar Levy? You are crazy. Levy is worse than Snoop? Chris? The crooked ass cops and politicians Fuck you man you dont know shit.

  • @g4n2g0 Yeah? How long do you think they'd be out on the street without someone like Levy complicit in and enabling their crime spree, typical youtube idiot?

  • Levys good and in that profession his type are the most successful

  • Damn Right!!!!!!!!

  • Levy is like the lawyer from hell

  • so what happened to avon at the end of the wire!

  • He's still locked up but he has a couple of years left.

  • He's still in jail. I saw Slim and some other dude talking to the Vondas, presumable about the connect, so I doubt Avon has that linkup anymore.

  • The drug game and the legitimate business share the same traits. If you're on the low end of the totem poll, such as soldiers, dealers, or touts in the drug game...or cashiers, cooks, or janitors in the legitimate business world, you have to really prove that you are of worth to the people in charge of the organization that you are employed for, otherwise you are easily expendable and replaceable, at the end of the day it's business as usual...

  • wut season is this from?

  • Season 1

  • levy is a cold muthafucka lol

  • Listen to what Bunk saying to Mcnulty at the end he said the two chicks that got murdered waas from the stick up boys is he talking about OMAR his crew ?

  • If wee-bey would of got out and why avon was in Wee-Bey would of been the next man instead of Stringer Bell what ya'll think of that if that would of happend ?

Another thing why the hell Slim Charles aint take over for Avon ? If he did what ya'll would of think of that ?

If Wee-Bey & Slim Charles would of took over for Avon working side by side what ya'll think of that ?

  • Wee-Bey or Slim Charles couldnt take over. The reason why is that their soldiers and not CEOs

  • But ceos is soldiers to like Avon or others

What would you think Omar would be doing if he wasnt sticking nigga's up ?

Ok but explain why they soldiers Wee-Bey or Slim Charles or if Cutty was in the game could he take over also ?

  • At the end Slim Charles was one of the ones who bought the connect and was meeting with the Greeks

  • they aighnt no thinkers they just muscle

  • Why the hell did wee-bey cop out to all them murders ?

How much time did he get ?

If wee-bey would of got out and why avon was in Wee-Bey would of been the next man instead of Stringer Bell what ya'll think of that if that would of happend ?

Another thing why the hell Slim Charles aint take over for Avon ? If he did what ya'll would of think of that ?

If Wee-Bey & Slim Charles would of took over for Avon working side by side what ya'll think of that ?

  • Wee-Bey would have done life anyway just based on the amount of murders he did commit. Wee-Bey is a loyal soilder. He figured fuck it...i'll cop out to murders I didn't commit just to protect the family. Damn they don't make em like Wee-Bey no more.

  • Oh ok but still dont he still got life tho ?

How much time he recieve ?

  • straight life no parole

  • Who got straight life no parole ?

  • wee bay

  • watching this, you dont get the same "hollywood" feel you do in shows such as law and order. the courtroom looks real, the readings be pearlman are authentic, the judge, everything...just so authentic, which is rare for TV. this was a special, special thing simon and his crew put together.

  • It's real as can be. Even though its a TV show, it's based on what people everyday in the hood go through.

  • See Avon smile at McNulty. Gangsta til the end.

  • I never really liked stringer he was way to shady. He was to smart for his own good.Out of all the people in the barksdale organization string would be the one i didnt trust at all.

  • I agree queenznyg718. Stringer really thot he could bring down Barksdale in time to become a major player in the Real Estate Game. He must have thot the Barksdales would come back to haunt him.

  • Snitch bitch.

  • You're forgetting the main thing, which is that he gave up a bunch of his people in order to get that reduced sentence. Granted, snitches usually give up people above them, while Avon gave up a bunch of dudes who were lower than him in the hierarchy, but still.

  • yea but he took care of all of them

. its all about takin care of fam . as long as he took care of em i think some of the guys that went down knew exactly what happened

  • How come I don't see anybody tagging these videos with "Snitch Bitch" or whatever the hell you stupid sheep write on Randy videos or Wallace videos or whatever? Avon's the biggest snitch out there.

  • like frank lucas and other snitches who get a pass

  • Indeed. Not only get a pass, but get songs written about them by Jay-Z and movies about their life by Ridley Scott/Denzel Washington in which they're portrayed as badasses.

  • this is not snitching. Avon is the boss. When they popped him it meant they had cases for all his underlings. What Avon did was he pleaded out and all his soldiers fell in line. 3-5 years in prison for these guys is a f-in walk in the park. It's like the T.I. case with guns. T.I had his boys take the charge for him

  • senor you still at it? the biggest snitch was Stringer Bell but Senor gotta hard-on for STringer he don't never see it. Stringer is the only major player that went to the Western District and brought the Barksdales the deathblow. Stringer gave Marlo Stansfield all the knowledge he needed to COME UP. Nobody on the wire went str8 to the Chief of Police sept stringer Bell....Hooray the day Mouzone and Omar cappd' his snitchin, backstabbin arse!!!! lol

  • @UTuberSandwich, PREACH!!!!!!

  • that was awesome.

  • How is avon a rat r u watching the same show.He did not tell on his people, that was a strategic plan to get less time,it called a structure plea, when the people in question give themseleves on for less time you people should learn the meaning of the word snitch

  • i hate seeing all the barksdale crew taking the stand, especially D

but they mad deep in jail

  • avon fucks up but d'angelo is the one who gets 20 years for it.

  • In the beginning of the first season, Stringer and McNulty were at court during D'Angelo's trial, when D'Angelo beat the charges because of the intimidation work the Barksdales did with one of the witnesses, McNulty walked over to Stringer and sarcastically said "Nicely done"

  • D'Angelo looked sick when tol m=he would have a MAX of 20years

  • why stringer tell mcnulty "Nicely Done"
