  • @ blagaya: I am so sorry. I did not intend to demean the great Korsakov. That Korsakov drank himself to death is what they told me at the Melodiya shop in Moscow. Sorry again.

  • He was a great violinst. Fantastic!!!

  • Such perfection! Really appreciate this!

  • Wonderful!

  • ***Search "Nate Robinson violin" on Youtube***

  • great!

  • always liked kagan from the first time i heard him

i think richter said he had a troubled, life what a shame - but what a wonderful musician

  • I like Kagan and Kogan very much. But:

There's (there was...) another excellent Russian violinist called Andrei Korsakov (died in the early '90s). Similarly half-forgotten, not so well-known like Kagan. No, Kagan is well-known if we compair him with Korsakov. I have only a CD with him playing Ernst, Carmen fantasy (the Waxman-transcription) incredible violinist (excellent technique, exact articulation, intonation, musicality). Does anyone have video of Andrei

Korsakov? I'm curious to watch it.

  • @likemyviolin

I uploaded what I had from Korsakov......

  • His body position is so perfect than his arms look restless...that's the great thing of russian violin technique.

  • Please some more of great Oleg Kagan!!!
