  • maannn this takes me back. nostalgia like a mofuka.

  • Killer cross-up at 3:42!

  • in my opinion, the sound fx and (ryu's and ken's) voices sound so much better at next generation.

especially the hard punch sounds, so much sharper and harder. why did they change that at 3rd strike :(

  • Just noticed......people like the ryu fightin style.....think bout it.....ryu...ken...akuma....sean...I bet they make another

  • They should re release this and double impact on the new gen consoles. I would but it.

  • @jowrab Because people were complaining that KOF 12 should've been made like SFIV.

  • Ibuki's boobs are just way too big!

  • @redsomister I asume There just Swollen the way she got kicked around A lot Poor girl :( Looks like she needs a Hug or better A group hug From all Us fanboys ^^

  • @redsomister You sound like there's an actual problem with that. O.o

  • This looks like mugen

  • There is also a PC version :) and it is the same grapchics even though emulated :)) search for cps 3 emulator and games ;)

  • still got this game and i still got 3rd strike street fighter 4 sucks ass i dont like

street fighter in 3d i like it in 2d

  • i remember i used to have this game :-D

.. now i cant to but it again i miss it :-(

  • Yun Elena Ibuki

  • Huge boobs!! o.O! 1:18 (makes me happy)

  • I liked both SF 3 and 4. But I prefer 3 because Im old school when it comes to these games. But I think if SF4 had the characters I wanted then Id like that way more than I did the original copy. I wanna see Yun, Yang, Alex, Makoto, Ibuki, Elena, Dudley and Sean. The other characters were straight but didnt matter much too me. Urien and Gill were good too but I doubt they can fit into the SF4 storyline in anyway.

  • @sheldons7 Well, with Super Street Fighter IV coming out you can definitely knock Makoto, Ibuki, and Dudley off that list. Of coarse I'm going by leaked info. Too bad they couldn't fit Q or Karin in there though.

  • i love this game

  • even if they thumbs you down you are right the best street fighters is 3rd strike or maybe all street fighter 3´s

  • amen dude SF4 suck ass!!! they should never EVER make street fighter 3D

  • i didnt like street fighter 4 it pissed me off on how crippled you where without an arcade stick

  • Comment removed

  • its fine, lots of ppl can play decently with a dpad

  • SF3 story is way too far...

  • there is always hope for the future

hopefully the next street fighter 4 will take place after three lol bring back alex!

  • Ken: '' you still got much to learn my young padawan"

    Sean: '' yes master"

Ken again:" may the force be with you"

  • and sf3 third strike is the only one i would play.

with the characters i just named.

  • sean

  • are u stupid everyone is good except shawn dats it.

  • hey guy, i meant as in all the characters look lame and will never get past that game.

    sean*

  • I Like The Stage Background With The Ken/Alex Fight........

What The Difference Within: New Generation, Double Impact & 3rd Strike?????

  • GameC your playing this on 1 star, you're fucking shit, lol.

  • i like ken,ryu and fei long my 3 favorites they rocks!!!!and rulez!!!

  • not even a super wat noob.

  • i hated oro

  • 4:41 psychodelia time

  • was this on EASY ???! (o_O)

  • The best Sf game ever yes even better than sf4. sf4 is a disgrace to street fighter name.

  • "The best Sf game ever yes even better than sf4. sf4 is a disgrace to street fighter name. "

    rofl

  • galaticwars i couldn't agree with you more!

  • I don't even consider SF4 the 4th game, rather a 3d remake of SF2... Either way, SF3 in it's entirety (New Generation, 2nd Impact, 3rd Strike) is definitely my favorite fighting game of all time, hands down. If only they came out with a SF3:HD game.....

  • I can see that happening in the future.

  • Such a stupid comment. That's like saying Alpha is just a remake of SF2 with airblocks and CCs, and SF3 is a remake of Alpha without airblocks and parries instead. Since when does changing the engine and base fundamentals of a game not constitute it being a sequel? Fucking stupid as fuck comment.

  • "Since when does changing the engine and base fundamentals of a game not constitute it being a sequel"? I never said it wasn't a sequel, I just don't consider it one. SF4 not only takes place before SF3, but seems like it takes the technical game backwards. It hardly feels like you are playing an "Improved SF3" as you'd expect with a sequel. It controls more like SF2's style of gameplay. They even have SF2 remixes. They aimed to bring SF2 style back.

And cussing doesn't get your point across.

  • That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Street Fighter 4 appears to be very similar to SF2 at first glance, but focus attacks and ultras change the game up monumentally.

  • I'm assuming you're replying to my older comment, and if so, the point of my comment was being that as opposed to building off of SF3, the game definitely went the route of making gameplay reminiscent of SF2 while adding a few things to it. SF4 doesn't play like 3 compared to how it plays like 2.

Judging by how SF3 (while an excellent game) sold poorly because of bringing an almost entirely new cast at once, I can hardly blame Capcom for pretty much going back to their previous success plan.

  • I pretty much agree. I really like SF3 because it really brought a new cast and everything, while with SF4 Capcom plays it safe and gives the large fanbase their old characters back, Street Fighter 4 is still a good game but I was highly disappointed by the cast, only a handfull of new characters and only Gouken & Abel are worth something, in my opinion...

  • i agree wit u. i love street fighter 3 n i like street fighter 4 but dey shulda included some sf3 characters like alex, necro, sean, yun, ibuki, elena,

  • Does ANYONE know where I can find the soundtrack for this version of SF3 as a download? I've been really jonsin' for the music from this version of SF3. Kens Stage music was freaking sweet

  • i can send u the link in a message

  • galbadia hotel

  • I'm really glad Capcom redid the announcer's and Oro's voice. Both are much better

  • Strange, I liked the arcade-version's announcer

  • I tink Playstation wasn't powerful enough to handle Street Fighter 3 dats why it didnt get released in it. But for a arcade game dats released in 97 this is great, the only downfall is the lack of characters you can select. In the consoles if they were powerful enough to handle this, this will be a challenge to MK4 & T3.

  • I would've liked to see what the N64 could do with a 2D fighter like this.. I don't doubt it could've handled the graphics.. it's just squeezing all the data onto a cartridge that might've been the problem.

  • In response to an earlier comment Capcom of America had absolutely nothing to do with SF3.

  • medium punch and medium kick at the same time...

  • That's wrong. This guy is just a SF wanna be who's only played Third Strike... This is New Generation, which had the universal overhead attack as Down, Down, punch.

  • WTF is that at 3:40? There's the Super Art screen flash but Ken's merely parrying?

  • Ken's not parrying. He's just did his super art and Alex was blocking.

  • It still looks weird.

  • SF3RD STRIKE 4 EVER

  • I'm agree about the gameplay and the technical (although I think the timing for the parry is a bit better on the second impact) but I still like 2cd Imp for the backgrounds and musics.

The third strike background and musics are so crappy but of course that's a better game in the Characters/gameplay way, this is clear.

  • im so with u on that i wish every 1 could see

that. i wish da guy who worked on 2 would of stayed to work on 3 but thats wat happens when

American people touch shit. or take over let

the people who develop it stay with they vision

  • 3rd strike is clearly better than NG and second impact

  • Well 3rd Strike gotten too broken on the parrying. The parrying gotten very wacky on 3rd Strike. NG and 2nd Impact does the parrying great.

  • love it =)

  • Oro was freakin' scary in New Gen/2nd Impact. He's even got the voice to suit.

  • yea, u see his defeat pose???? he looks like a corpse thts been left out 4 a week or two!!

  • This looks pretty darn close to the alpha series.

  • yeah ng and double SCREAM alpha on steroids 3 has its OWN feel too bad it wasnt as "complete." there needs to be another but thats nothing new anyone already knows.

  • The artwork of this game is awesome!!.....and the stages look better than the ones in 3rd Strike......and also Necro's voice is sooooo much COOOOLER here than in 3rd Strike....

  • ken sounds like a fag in new generation

  • @Jago2999 everyone sounds like fags in new generation

  • @Jago2999 I think the announcer does. Then again, I'm sorta spoiled with SF IV and III strike's announcers. >_>

  • you're messing everybody up lol

  • Street Fighter 3 New Generation is for ps2? i can't found it ç.ç

  • there was only version of street fighter 3 that was released on ps2

and its in the anniversary collection

which comes with street fighter 2(the last update) and street fighter 3:3rd strike

this game was only released on sega dreamcast as a double game disc

    which came with

street fighter 3: next generation and street fighter 3 double impact.

  • Amazing; I'd forgotten this game existed. I think 3rd Strike is definitely right on in terms of taking the "mainstream" Street Fighter series in a different direction, as this looks (and in a way, "feels") more like a conflation of the Alpha and Versus series than a new version of "traditional" Street Fighter.

In other words, to me, this game actually LOOKS like it was released over a decade ago...I think 3rd Strike has aged way better

  • be lucky we had even them capcom planned on scraping all clasic chars for a whole new cast of ppl

  • Are Ken and Ryu voiced by the same person in New Generation and Second Impact?

  • yea pretty much. but i think every1 got new voice actors in 3rd Strike

  • I burned 3rd Strike, but it didn't work.

  • I've actually never seen this game b4 . Every time I see or type in "Street Fighter 3", I get Third Strike . . .

  • this is actually the first version of sf3

  • Its prolly also cause 3rd strike is the most popular version of the three

the other two only had like 8 and 10 chars total

Hell EX moves didnt even come in til 2nd Impact

  • Believe it or not, I'm not a big fan of the EX moves. I know they're extremely useful, but they feel kinda like a badly programmed Super Move. Maybe they would look better if your character didn't flash like a light bulb.

  • hey gamerC i would like to make a music request could you put up seans music please i love that song

  • so... this version is on dreamcast?

  • Yes, this is from my Sega Dreamcast version.

  • Wait, wikipedia says that sf3 new generation for dreamcast is part of sf3: double impact. WTF?

  • They came packaged together. Like a double pack.

  • Street fighter 3:new generation and street fighter 3:2nd impact giant attack were package as a bundle known as Street fighter 3:double impact 2 games in one

  • i like the drawings on the flames of the FP shoryu on here better than 3rd strikes

  • He does doesn't he shotokenmaster lol :p

  • I don't think he was trying to impress anyone, just show some gameplay but meh yeah i've seen better Ken playing.

  • Yeah I heard you're an excellent player nmcooper26 :p

  • Yeah I am, but with Ryu :)

  • hey gamerc i would like to make a music request could you put seans bGM i love that song please

  • the street fighter 3 series need to be on ps2 like street fighter alpha anathalogy on ps2.

  • see, they should have put it on anniversary collection with compilations of street fighter 2 and third strike, that was ridiculous they do so.

  • Aren't they all the same? Then again, I've only played Third Strike.

  • This and 2nd Impact remind me of Alpha 1 and 2. All old-school-ish and stuff.

Then 3rd Strike went into the New Age, and made it all style-ish.

  • I really love the music of NYC Stages on all the SFIII series, specially the NG Sean Stage

  • Ah-Ken kicking ass...is there a prettier site?^^

Aside from that, the impact, hits, and moves look and sound really weird in this game..

  • I always preferred the presentation of New Generation over 3rd Strike, personally. Especially the hand-drawn hadouken over the weird mist ball thing of patheticness they started using with 2nd Impact. I do, however, prefer Yang's 3S VA by far, if that counts for anything.

  • I wish Capcom would re-release all 3 Street Fighter III versions on the new consoles(I'm not talking about the Anniversary Collection where they only had Street Fighter III:3rd Strike) Just like they did for the Alpha/Zero Collection who's with me?

  • Thats exactly what I was thinking. I agree with you completely. I also wish capcom would make Street Fighter 4, in 2d no less. Lets just hope for the best.

  • Yes, A Street Fighter 4 with all the past characters (not sure about some of the SF1 guys) and (like in Alpha 3) every character has his/her own stage. AND a tournament mode. Sometimes, I want SF4 to be (mostly) like Super Smash Bros. Melee (won't happen XD, but most of the ideas I get from Smash)

  • Super Smash Bros. Melee is a good game but you can't make a Street Fighter title based off it. Maybe if they made a combination of the two games it would be possible but it won't happen anytime soon. It's odd that you mention SSBM along with Street Fighter because I've been playing the hell out of both. 289 trophies, just need the food trophy, I'm at 930 vs. matches so it shouldn't be long now. I know I always have to say this but "Street Fighter kicks ass!!!"

  • I forgot to say "Super Smash Bros. Melee kicks ass too!!!" lol, both good games.

  • Hey, I just got the food trophy like...2 weeks ago. But there's still some hard ones to get.

  • The hardest one to get is the Crazy Hand or Mew trophies. If you already have them then you're pretty much in the clear. If you don't then you have some work cut out for you. The Diskun trophy isn't hard to get, it's just irritating. I'm now at 950+ fights. Almost at 290 then I have them all. :D

  • Those trophies just annoy me. For some odd reason, I'm missing Celebi. I know I'm missing Sheriff. And I think that's it.

  • Get 12 1/2 minutes total time in target test. To get celebi you need to have all characters, all stages, sound test and 5000 or more total ko's. Just keep throwing pok'e balls in vs. mode till you see it. Not hard at all. He's green and looks like mew but green. Just make sure a human player throws the pok'e ball that has celebi in it or it doesn't count. I just got the food trophy today and got the message that I have all the trophies. You'll get it too with patience.

  • I know hot to get them, I just gotta work my butt off. Wish me luck.

  • Good luck!!!

  • Let's get back to the subject at hand, ok!

  • It's been so long I forgot I even commented on this. You're right!!!

  • Ken is the man!

  • Very nice!
