I will admit, he's been studying longer than I've been, but with you as my teacher I'm going to catch up XD

  • 현우형, how do you say "I forgot" in korean?

So for example, someone ask kim song saeng nim ask me "Where is your homework" and I say "I forgot" or "I forgot it".

  • i have a question-whats the difference between "tin cha" and "kureayo"

  • well done.

isn't your last example also "i don't like you".....or a softer, more playful version of "i hate you?" for example, just 싫어 on its own, isn't that a broad application to indicate dislike or irritation?

  • wow im really happy that i found your videos u make me know more korean words and also i been wondering, how did you get to speak many languages so easily ? i wish i could be like you but all i know is my own language, malay and english ( korean language, maybe a little )...umm..but i really want to know what is " hey ! are you ( whatever the name's gonna be ) ? • sorry, I'm busy right now - Mianhamnida, jigeum bapeunde

but, sorry i don't know the other ones yet...

  • "i am busy right now"

    "dont bother me"

thought im not sure how polite it is to say that to someone it seems a bit rude .. so i dont think you should use yo ^^

    bkos thats 2pm's songs...

  • I noticed that in Korean letter J pronounced Ch

    and Si = Sh

    am I right??

  • Sort of : ) The Korean "ㅈ" is a unique sound that doesn't match any of "j" "ch" or "z" :)

  • fun! thanks :) keep it up!

  • Thanks a lot!! :)

  • is "heyo" like the japanese "desu" or "da"?

  • Similar but hae-yo is more like "simasu" in Japanese because it means " to do " :)

  • Thank you :)

  • vere useful video.. tks man...

  • Awesome Chingoo! Thanks :)

Oh and in English (at least in my classes) we use Formal and Informal, to distinguish, but that might vary depending on country? Im not sure.

  • Well, it really depends on how you say it. Formal and informal / polite and intimate / polite and informal / formal and intimate / - I think they are all the same but at the same time they are all incorrect because none of these words really represent the real nuance behind the actual Korean words (존댓말 and 반말) :) So it's best to know the Korean terms for them :)

  • O.o

    I give up on Korean.

    :(

  • Don't give up!!!

  • Thanks!

  • @Theresnosuchthing08

no don't give up. i know it's hard...trust me i have more of a latin tongue than i do american so it's quite hard for me to learn Korean. i'm learning it so i can understand Korean music (especially SUJU and SNSD) idk why you're trying to learn it, but don't stop, you'll be thankfull once you have it down. [= (ive been trying my best and i can understand some...so more practice means perfection) ;D

  • Wow thank u so much for doing this 5 stars lol. oh n by the way my real name is Robert : D

  • Hi Robert :) You're very welcome!

  • Thank-you Hyunwoo Sun.

  • You are welcome!!

like you the best를 한국말로 어떻게 말해요?

  • *I like you the best/most

"I like you the most" in Korean in 반말 is "니가 제일 좋아" and in 존댓말 It's "[name] 씨가 제일 좋아요." :)

    Hope this helps!

Also, how do you say "I should [do something] "and "I have to [do something]" in korean?

  • "I should [do something]" in Korean is [~야 돼요] :)

  • such as "숙제해야 돼요" ?

  • i thought "i hate you" was "니가 밉다"?

  • You're right too. :) There are many ways to say this so "니가 밉다 or 니가 미워 or 너 미워" are all correct as well :)

    - Hyunwoo

  • thanks this could be very helpful for others. you are always thinkin of ways to help us learn the language and i appreciate it! now, i have to think of things i want to say and ask you.

  • Thank you so much for the comment ^_^!!!!!

  • you are awesome! thankx for these sentences

  • Thanks!!! ^_^

  • Cool!! Thank's!!!

  • Thanks a lot!! :)

  • i think you mean "~이에요" ? haha

  • Oh, actually, 이세요 is a politer way to say 이에요 :) when you are referring to the very same person that you are talking to. :)

  • oh icic..

    thanks!

  • you are such a good teacher!!

i love that you write it in korean on the video so i can read and listen!! it's so helpful ^^

  • Thank you very much! I will add the Korean sentences in the description right away :) Thanks!

    Hyunwoo

  • Nice!

What about 밉다/미워하다? Are they stronger than 싫다 or different in any way?

Not that I would ever say it to anyone!! :)

This reminded me of Jaurim btw ... "미안해, 널 미워해".

You forgot "what's your name" I think.

  • Oh I forgot "what's your name"! haha. Sorry about that. "네 이름이 어떻게 되세요?" is ALMOST correct :) You have to drop 네 because it's 반말 :)

And 미워하다 and 싫다 are equally strong :) but 미워하다 is only for people and 싫다 is for everything in general :)

  • I see. Thank you! :)

  • Thank you ! : )

    Thank You =)

  • I'll write the Korean and the romanization in the description soon!

    Thanks!

    Hyunwoo

  • The Hangul and the romanization are in the description now! I hope it helps!

    - Hyunwoo
