  • This is perfect tennis evolution look at yung djoker finding his range and feel playing the fed,it was only just a matter of time.Fed has an ugly ass game too me.

  • The commentator said Sharapova at 0:57... Maybe Roger likes her...

  • @dobadobado1994 Sharapova was in Djokovic's camp though

  • @STPconditions not really. but it would be better if djoko fed and nad were all primers

in the same time right? becoz then everyone will understand exactly how good each player plays.aldo nad nor fed or djokovic will be beating the sampras record becoz the year record of major champions wont be fed winning 3/4 or nadal nor djokovic. becoz all 3 players will be taking a bite out of each others dominace and will loke more like: fed nad or djokovic winning 1 or 2/4 grand slams.anyway both are good

  • @STPconditions your right i guess but maybe 2/4 or 1/4 which is still good

  • novak could could have taken a set or 2, if he wasn´t so nervous, which was perfectly normal, due to his inexperience.

  • @STPconditions The guy's 30 years old and is a step slower than he used to be. He's still in the picture for majors and is still capable of beating these guys. Do you really think a 5 year younger Federer in his prime wouldn't be winning grand slams?

  • There are always bastards to put a red thumb on a very good video as well in contents as in visual quality. Guys, your djokovic will win the open US Open 4 years later !

  • I wish Federer can play like this, why did they slow down the game.... :(

  • Comment removed

  • I don't see Djokovic beating Federer's GS record. I can see him beating Nadal's if he keeps beating him like this but Federer still has the ability to beat Djokovic. If it wasn't for Nadal, they would have played each other A LOT more in 2011.

  • @hattrickster33 Who knows he might not even beat nadal's slam record, 5 is still very far away. I reckon Nadal will win Djoko one more time in a slam.

  • @hattrickster33 nadal only played federer twice in 2011, once on slams. federer and djokovic met 3 times on slams in 2011, and if wasnt for tsonga incredible comeback they would play in all 4 slams. totally they met 5 times and fed won only once. it has nothing to do with nadal so I dont see any logic in your statement

  • Love the sound of the hitting...

  • last grand slam that ended a whole era of greatness.

  • Djokovic has improved so much. :D

  • Federer is done in slams. Match point

  • "and its not impossible for both of them"

    Well, get back to mathematics.

For just Djokovic to catch up, he must win 12 slams. About 3 slams per year for 4 years, wich is clearly HUGH. How is Nadal supposed to win enough in the same time to catch up? lol

Nadal is most likely the one able to do it since he already have 10. But that mean beating Djokovic.

  • It's funny how having a shitty serve can screw the rest of your game.

  • Wow, compared to Novak's current form, he looks like a totally different person here. His footwork, balance, service motion, shot selection, speed....everything.

  • Djokovic could have won the first 2 sets, especially the first (about 5 setpoints!)!

  • Wow I forgot how Djoker choked that away

  • Watching Nole's family made me laugh. xD They look like a fan club or something.

  • It's kind of a cruel irony how Novak finds a way to blow this many points to go up in the match and gets broken on a double fault. Then fast forward to 2010 US Open semi final where Fed has numerous match points for the final, loses them. Then we have this year's US Open 2011 Semi, once again Fed-Djok and Federer has two match points on his serves but loses composure and gets broken by double faulting...

  • @gargarensi What goes around, comes around...

  • @gargarensi its the confidence, the guy in the prime always exhibit such confidence. His fitness is peak and confident he will hit cleanly regardless.

  • So Nadal's and Novak's success is cus of the surface and balls now ? Please. Nadal improved a lot since 2007, specialy his service. Novak is in a better shape than before 2009 and has improved a lot his game. Roger's games is a bit slower and less aggresive than it used to be. Stop taking credit away from players, if they are in this position now is because they worked hard to be there. Federer's is the best player of al time and courts and balls won't make that different.

  • Djokovic looks way, way different. In this video, he is far more conservative, has far inferior shot selection, he doesn't follow through every time, he can't generate angles, he is markedly slower, and is simply a weaker player. The fact that in spite of all of this he made the US Open final in 2007 and won the AO in 2008 speaks volumes about what skill level he is playing at present.

  • @Ohcacful But djokovic was more aggresive here no???

He really was owning nadal on hardcourts before this.

beat him in madrid at montreal pretty easily.

His aggressive version peaked at Australian open 2008 where his forehand was at its best. Then Todd Martin came, like a curse, djokovic's serve became shit, his confidence followed suit.

So now he becomes a more defensive and all-around person.Better movement, stamina, shot selection.

  • but he got back his serve and aggresivness now, only that he improved a lot defensively and stamina. Also I think his strokes and shot selection are better then ever. Hes really like federer-nadal combo nowdays

  • @Killuminati1996 I dont really see how Djokovic and Federer games have anything alike...

  • u are absolutely right, fagerror sucks unlike djokovic and just got smashed by nadal again rofl

  • @Killuminati1996 Oh? Is that some provocation? Well, that just show how smart you are.

Whatever, "fagerror" still have 16 GS and is still playing at a high lvl at 30 years old. 2 things that will not happen for either Nadal or Djokovic. And thats fine with me.

  • Well u definetely cant tell what will and will not happen in the future unless u consider yourself to be a some kind of prophet lol. The way I see it, djokovic and nadal will have monopolly on slams for many years to come and its not impossible for both of them to catch up fagerror despite playing against much tougher competition. btw fagerror made 63 unforced errors today, he is about to set a career mark which will be impossible for anyone to match anytime soon rofl

  • @Killuminati1996 "much stronger competition".

It is the only argument you frustrated guys can come up with. Then you can make excuses about all what Federer won. Typical and laughable.

  • those are FACTS u dumb idiot. compare top players 5-6 years ago to those of today and its laughable. nadal when showed up was a threat only on clay and was already number 2. before him there were rodick, hewit, nalbandian as his major competition rofl. as I reckon nadal and djokovic will share most of the slams in the next 5 years which equals 20 of them, novak needs 11 and nadal 6 which is 17 total to match federer.nadal will average 1 and djokovic 2-3 slams per year in the next 5 years

  • 16 slams in the weakest era is hardly as impressive then agassis 8 or lavers 2 calendar slams in 60's, nadal has already achieved more considering the competition while beating him in masters titles and djokovic is about to do the same. if djokovic wins calendar slam against this competition he should be instantly proclaimed the goat

  • @Killuminati1996 Ha ha, such a fanatic. Like I said, you've got no argument, just crying about how things gone. The so called "weak" players have often been a threat for Nadal and Djokovic, even nowadays. Roddick is leading against Djokovic, Davydenko is leading against Nadal, Nadal is only 6-4 against Hewitt, has been crushed a lot of times by Nalbandian... etc etc. And they didnt even played those guys at their best!

  • I presented my arguments very clearly. u come up only with insults and gibberish. rodick and davydenko played young nadal and djokovic far from their prime, thus h2h adventage. I would like to see them beating them now. up and coming djokovic whiped the floor with prime rodick in their first matchup in 2007. nadal and djokovic pushed him form no.2 spot then other young players came and pushed him even further. nalbandian has good record against federer too, beating him many times in his prime

  • @Killuminati1996 Not even talking about an old and back from injuries Hewitt taking a set from Djokovic.

Can tell you, Nadal and Djokovic would not have made as good as Federer in the same era. They aren't Federer, and tennis is about match-up. You guys are crying about weak competition because Federer was just far better and had the game to beat those guys. Just like Djokovic is doing now.

  • @serbianpupil Oh god! I thought he was reading me and that he would decern me a medal! *facepalm*

  • @HornyGates Lol. Alright, you know it. But why taking the time to argue with others? I mean it's pointless, you don't get anything and Federer won't read this.

  • @serbianpupil Because I like arguing, talking with people having passion for this game like I do. And because some comments are just so sad.

  • @HornyGates Lol, but I don't see the point of arguing right here. I mean if you participate in a debate contest, there will be a winner, but here, there won't be one. There is really no point in doing this.

  • @serbianpupil I already saw you arguing about Djokovic with some people dude.

  • @HornyGates There is a big difference between writing with some people and writing with everybody who doesn't agree with my opinion. I think there is no point in refering to all people who don't share my opinion. Arguing it's pointless, too. If you get paid like Mats Wilander for arguing about whose the best now and talking about the players, I agree, you should do that. But I saw you writing a bunch of comments mainly to people who don't support Federer.

  • @serbianpupil If I'd reply to everyone not sharing the same opinion, you would see me on every single vids... you're just exagerating way too much for seeing me on a few.

  • @HornyGates Yeah like competion was so great in 2011 and 2010. 31 year old Ljubicic beating Nadal for his first masters title. Roddick beating Nadal a week later. Unorthoxed players like Melzer and Mayer beating him at Shanghai. Davydenko (far from his prime) raping Nadal. Right now: Soderling, Murray, Del Potro, Berdych, Monfils: injured, or mentally unstable. Fish in the top 10?! Please give me back the era of Nalbandian, Safin, Hewitt, Roddick, Ferrero, Agassi, Moya, Coria, Blake etc.

  • @Stylaz21 Your comment is very good. Put Djok and nadal on those 2002-5 hardcourt surface and lighter balls against prime hewitt, safin and roddick i think difficult for them to defend. They attack very flat and consistent. In those times serve is crucial too, not today. Djok and nadal serve like shit and still top 2.

  • bullshit. agassi doesnt belong in that era u idiot he was too old, safin mentally unstable, had only 2 good years and beat federer, nalbandian fat and lazy, rodick one-dimensional dud who can only serve, ferero clay courter, sucks on hard, blake good but inconsistant, sucks at majors, moya and coria also clay courters only. today all around players murray, ferrer, clay courter but plays well on hard, del potro, tsonga, tipsarevic, and many big servers who would dominate in weak era. not comparable

  • @Killuminati1996 Agassi was playing his best tennis in his 30s. Nalbandian was fat, lazy and still owning Nadal. Roddick was way better back then. Ferrero reached the finals of US Open en Semis of Australian, good on hardcourt. Safin was mentally unstable, but was a threat during 2004 and 2005. Davydenko great claycourt and hardcourt player, still owning Nadal. Moya and Coria are better at clay but they are not bad at all on hardcourt. Hewitt, big fighter, great return.

  • @Killuminati1996 Del Potro, the guy had one good year, but got injured and is shit now. Tsonga mentally unstable, Tipsarevic? WTF. Murray, good but cracks in majors, Ferrer doesn't have the firepower to threaten the top 3. Today's competition is all about baseline bashing. Courts have slowed down. Roland Garros is faster than Wimbledon and Australian Open. For Nadal it's easier to get to and win major finals. When Federer won most of his slams grass was grass, hard was hard and clay was clay.

  • @HornyGates you are just another blind fanboy thinkiong no one matches to federer wrong again. I dont have to go with nadal and djoker, players like muray and del potro would also have success in that era. how many proven gs champions played back then and how consistent they were? today even players who doesnt win slams, muray, ferer are consistent rachin quarters and semis on every slam. how many times top 4 reached semi of a slam in that era? today it happens almost everytime

  • @HornyGates not to mention most of the top 10 players reaching quarters. on last open, 7 out of top 8 reached quarters. top players are more consistent then ever in this era. top 2 met 3rd straight time in slam final, a record. did federer had such a challenger during those years? djokovic constantly has to beat 2 of top 4 in order to win slams. when federer finally got a challenger he faded and cracked under pressure.

  • nadal was only good on clay when he showed up yet instanly became number 2. thats how good draw was. when he developed, he challeneged fed on every surface and started beating him regularly. federer is the mentally weakest top player ever. tell me another champion who had so many breakdowns in close matches like fed did? he benefited from weak draw which was on todays women level, he was winning matches in locker room, but when someone shows up to him, he fades

  • faderer was only consistent player from his era, like u said he was just far better(or others were far worse) and was beating random opponents in slam finals. only rodick at wimbledon and gave him some problems, but was also inconsistant on other slams. federer didnt have a challenger who would make him work for his titles untill nadal showed up, and we all know what happened after. djokovic beating nadal in every gs final and other top5 is far more impressive then federer beating random noobs

  • @Killuminati1996 "random noobs" lolz.

You probably watch tennis since 2008 dude, stop talking like you know anything about older era (and what a talk, all this writing, wow, real problem).

You're just a hater, its obvious, no credit to anything you say.

  • @HornyGates no he is like born 1996 and probably watched since 2010. I will say nadal is poorer than 2008 because of his backhand and he thinks this era is best with Djoker and Nadal playing 'complete' game. lol. One dimensional tennis without approach shots and average serve. I see Kuerten, Coria and many clay specialists playing like this. Today it works on all the surfaces but atp wants money from long matches.

  • @HornyGates I presented u the facts, u come up with nothing but insults. I watch tennis since early 90's doubt u have even been born then. u dont know shit about any other player but your dream lover. classic delusional faderer fagboy with a gay obsession for him and an IQ of a neanderthal.

  • @Killuminati1996 You didnt presented any facts. Just saying "ha ha, he wasnt playing against good players!". How is that facts? I can give you facts.

Im watching tennis since 90's too, too bad. You're just a hater, there is no point talking with you, you're absolutly not objective. Bye.

  • @Killuminati1996 u are 1996? So i assume u started to watch tennis at 2010. I can tell Djoknadal won't get every slam in next 5 years. Don't assume there is no new era. The whole world will come out new tennis player to beat them. Tennis is a young man's game. Nadal is almost done and djok has 2 more yrs. Even old fed need luck to win 4 slams in Nadal/djok era to break record. 16 = winning in 2 eras. No, Fed era is not weaker, surface is faster and balls are light so u see diff kind playstyle

  • wrong kiddo. I started watching tennis 20 years ago, at 91. I watched 3 different eras, and everzthing u said couldnt be further from the truth, so I assume u are one of those faderer fagboys with IQ of an ape. DJokovic is far from done as he just hit his prime and will continue to dominate 4-5 years at least. nadal will also saty near the top but his level will drop because his game is much more physical.

  • and I wasnt talking about surfaces, but competition and quality of top players back then compared to now, which was considerably weaker. but if u wanna go there, slower surfaces means u need much more then sereve and volley game to win on any surface. back then one-dimensional players like rodick were reaching slam finals consistently now u need complete game to win a slam. and u say djokovic serve like shit? u are idiot he had some problems 2 years ago but its back on his old level now

  • @Killuminati1996 u don't know anything about tennis if u say today's surfaces are same speed. Djokovic and nadal play a clay game which exist ages ago. Back then in 2002-5 clay specialists are still alive and play like them too, with consistency in every shot and low u/e, unlimited endurance. Look at player like coria who struggle outside clay because the speed was faster. He brought nadal to 5 sets in clay. They don't make approach shots and serve average which is not all court game.

  • no one says courts are the same speed. learn to read and comprehend moron. clay specialists were able to be number 1 (moya, ferrero) despite struggling on other surfaces because of the weak draw. todays surfaces are generally slower, but it doesnt mean its easier to play. quite the opposite. u cant be a top player any more with only serve and volley. tennis is more balanced now, and all top players must have a complete game. if u say djokovic plays a clay game u dont know shit about tennis.

  • @Killuminati1996 yo he rep up his endurance and plays clay game to be able to beat nadal in today's slow surface. If u think he wins by attacking lights out then u know shit, this kind of tennis don't work already. He is still defensive player who can't hit an approach shot, useless shot today like i said, by the time indoor season he loses cuz of speed. Watch Nadal vs Coria in rome 2005, its the same kind of tennis that djokovic do with a better backhand than Coria. He is real clay courter.

  • there are 3 levels in tennis. the federer level , the djokovic-nadal level , and below chaos

  • Funny how the rankings are switched now.

  • His forehand nowadays is so much slower than the past...Compare videos of him in 2004-2007 to now 2010-2011. Then, his forehand had so much more zip and were significantly deeper.

  • reason why federer's forhend is better 2004-2007 then 2008-2011 is becouse atp change the balls.... new balls are slower and have high jump.....that was big + for nadal and big - for Roger....

  • @0105986 plus the court surfaces have slowed down... thats not really gonna help roger, but it sure helps rafa

  • @0105986 thanks for pointing that out. I believe that's the reason why Federer beat Djokovic is because the Bobolat tennis balls were faster.

  • @0105986

Reason why federers forehand was better in 2004-2007 is cause we didnt watch Djokovic Nadal forehands back then.

  • @printingbg Federer's current forehand is still better than Djokovic and Nadal's.

  • @0105986 nadal was winning in RG with the "old" balls too

  • @0105986 true. I think the atp have made bad choices concerning balls. It makes complete sense that players should be rewarded when hitting flat shots, being the riskier shot to play. Also, because of the slowness of the balls, the offensive slice is pretty much extinct. Bad choices, atp.

  • @0105986 Plus the courts became slower...

  • @0105986 for the first time in 2008 the Australian Open started using softer, US Open style balls which are faster, making it easier for players like Fed, and putting counterpunchers at a disadvantage. Yet before that Federer managed to win the Australian Open three times without too much trouble. And Nadal didn't seem to complain about faster balls. Didn't stop him from winning in 2009. Sounds like another Federer nutcase making up a nutcase excuse for the rise of Nadal and Djokovic...

  • @0105986 they also slowed down the courts alot. but federer still hits the ball sweeter and cleaner than anyone else.

  • @serbianpupil You are continuing writing in the game which Roger won. He is US open record champion who already won five successive victories. You are fanatic, arrogant and blind. I so sorry for Djokovic

  • Comment removed

  • @0105986 i think not only the balls. Federer used to be more elastic, the running forehand was better, the ball bounce once and touch the board.

  • @0105986 ATP changing balls definitely affected Roger. I'm not sure if you implied this but in case you did, I don't think changing balls takes anything away from Nadal and Djokovic's wins over Federer. Regardless of balls, the better player wins.

  • @0105986 courts too are slower.

  • How could not Djokovic realize those several Set Points!?

  • i some how think this racquet suits federer's style more... no?

  • @xcoollynch it does

  • I miss Darth Federer...slowly accepting he may win only 1 more GS before retirement (a la Sampras) or maybe none at all. Djoker has had a monster year though...great Wimbledon final against Nadal.

  • @kngoPITT

Don't we all, but we got to look at the big positives.

The guy won his french (what sampras never came close to doing), got the all time record by two. It's always the hardest to get those last few majors because( by definition) they come at the end of your career. Fed did it and is still playing incredible tennis at 30...how many guys can say that

  • i miss the way federer used to hit the ball, nobody hit better than him for sure

  • @XHaxXRajzarX he still hit it the same way, his backhand is even better then before.

  • @Globox822 no he doesn't, trust me, he used to swing through the ball faster and flatten his forehand more. in terms of the backhand sometimes it seems i have to agree but he miss hits a lot more then he used to

  • @XHaxXRajzarX his backhand was best for whole of 2006 and 2007 AO, after that his game dipped. You can never say his aspect of game improved from there. He won 2007 last 2 slams because time was not up yet. I can agree 2004 he was not best yet, as 2005 improved much more on the baseline. He played energetic and aggressive but right now its opposite and errors increase by 2-3 times.

  • @youziness i never said his backhand improved, someone else commented that it was and i disagreed, and agree federer does miss hit his backhand a lot more

  • @XHaxXRajzarX uh, there was that guy named Agassi...pretty clean hitter I'd say.

  • Hard to decipher why Djokovic is now winning all the GS affairs they have - pretty much Fed's lack of confidence combined with his reluctance to dominate with his forehand. He just doesn't whip it the way he used to, nor does his serve stay as confident as it used to. We see flashes of brilliance, like AUS 2010 against Murray and the ATP Finals 2010, but it's sad to see for any tennis fan to watch him lose. WAHHHHHHHHH

  • @DanimalLawlz "All" of the Grand Slam affairs? Lets see. US Open 2010...Fed had two match points. Aussie Open 2011 Djoko simply played better, and I watched it, Fed was definitely aggressive and always is. Djokovic is just finally gaining confidence, that's all. And I love how you say "Flashes" of brilliance at Aus 2010 and ATP finals, two of the biggest tournaments last year where he absolutely dominated...how is that a flash?

  • @showbiz216 When in past finals has Fed even been pushed to 5 sets in a hard court tourney? Once, against Nadal. Fed played pretty terribly in the SF US Open 2010, and by flashes of brilliance I mean playing to the caliber that he did in the past. Getting wasted by Soderling and Berdych, and watching Nadal dispose of both of his victors in masterful fashion is probably just as upsetting to you as it is to me. He played two good notable tournaments all year.

  • @DanimalLawlz I mean, he won Stockholm, Basel, Cincinatti. Got to the Finals of a few other huge Masters 1000s. Of course he's not playing as well as he did in 2004-2007, no one ever will. I think he had another good year.

  • @showbiz216 federer simply cant play the whole year at high level as he used to. He still play aggressive but the balls are not landing deep. Djokovic is never better, he played 95% of their matchups after 2006 and still have losing record. After 26 yo most top tennis players retire or hang on top 50 for income, fed still there and able to keep all the rivalries alive by playing shorter points using talent. We'll see what happen to nole and nadal after 26 who rely on power and running.

  • Novak come on bring back that forehand!

  • great quality...:)

  • This maybe the luckiest set in Grand Slam finals for Federer.

  • @BTuan1 Or the biggest choke for poor Nole.

  • in 2007 & 2008 we see novak more agressive in hitting the balls and his winners forhand @ backand was perfect what happened to this guy ?

  • @faares I personally think Novak has the same problem Agassi had before hiring Brad Gilbert, he used to hit agressively but now he dosn't take the ball as early as he used too...

  • epic choke from joker

  • @gg2000gg2000 it was his first grand slam final, he was( still is) very young, cut him some slack..

  • great video
