i honestly dont have a problem with girls in beauty pagents like wat all the dads say this is there sport and if its somthing they love to do you should support them.......but i absolutly hate when moms enter there little boys into pagents and expect them to just be little girls that they didnt have this world of pagents is more for girls not boys!

i really don't like all the fake stuff involved in pageants. Especially tanning. They are just little kids. Taralyn has beautiful porcelain skin. I don't understand this obsession with being tan. Everyone has a beautiful natural skin tone. Wether your skin is naturally pale or naturally very dark, its beautiful in its own way. I don't understand the whole tanning thing. I'm rather pale but I like my natural skin tone!

If you look at newer episodes, Taralyn's mom don't want to allow her daughter to wear the flipper, she doesn't think it works well. Taralyn really wanted to wear it though

The other girl I think her mom is living through her daughter and if they really teach their kids that winning isn't everything why was she crying at cause she lost?

The mom with the boys just is flat out nuts!! If she is so aware with child development then she should know that her kids are going to need therapy when they are older when they found out that she was trying to make them girls and from all the bullying they are going to receive. Flipppers freak me out it looks like an adult's set of teeth in a tiny mouth. And it makes me sad when the little girls say they look pretty when their faces are caked with more makeup then a 20 year old. They are beautiful just the way they are. I mean there's nothing wrong with little girls wanting to dress up and feel like a princess but this is overkill.

someone needs to tell Taralyn that she's pretty WITHOUT all the makeup, fancy clothes, etc. - she doesn't need all that to be pretty.

and they also need to tell her that REAL beauty is what's inside, not how you look physically.

that's why i hate pageants, even though people in the industry suggested i enter - they judge on appearance. it's so superficial & sad really.

Taralyn knows that she's pretty without all of that. Her Mom lets her know that being pretty is not everything. She is a very sweet little girl who is very smart as well.

But, she is respectful,she knows how to treat and be kind to people with disabilities (she has a brother who is wheelchair bound.) So, Taralyn does know that yes, beauty on the outside is important, but, beauty on the inside is MUCH more important, and is what really matters.

seriously! talk about pushing your child into doing something to make yourself happy... so selfish.

as a gymnast when i was healthy, it would be very easy to want any kids i have to go into gymnastics as well... but they have the right to be their own people with their own interests. my job as their mother would be to support them in THEIR dreams, NOT use them to fulfill my own.
