I dont know from what season it is but it features daniel and sam in some sort of alternate reality in which they're trying to get included in the stargate program but nobody pays them any attention because they're ... geeky scientist.... :D

@doctorwhom1 Don't forget that your choice of stargates is cripplingly limited (I don't recall if any of the Gates caught in the loop led to any method of FTL spacetravel - if not - you can't really touch the Goa'uld). You can't take any results from any experiments with you, either.

@VimeC true about the stargates although if the device were given more zpms (they really should check it for some) then you might be able to cover more stargates, however what if you were carring a computer or another recording device when you got blasted by the thing that allows you to remember the loops? then you could bring the results of the expreriments with you

Well, obviously they retain mental knowledge from the loops, thus they can use the time loop to learn skills without sacrificing any real time.

Hence Teal'c and O'Neil juggling, making pottery, learning Latin, practicing golf, etc.

Billy Murray did similarly in Groundhog's Day, using his time loop to read a ton of books, learn how to play the piano, etc.

Pretty nice use of a time loop, actually.
