  • Wow!

  • this scene gives me chills everytime

  • this scene gives me chills everytime

  • Problem is it lacks suspense.

  • @rwalk2730 is that sarcasm

  • I love the fact that Ennio Morricone is as important in making that scene so completely amazing as the three brilliant actors

  • 15 people , DIG

  • I always love the shot at 5:06

  • This film is my all time favorite ever,, ive got it on video and DVD, and the rest of the Trilogy,, ive watched it over a Thousand times easily,, and Ennio Morricone is a Musical Genius,, the whole thing is a Masterpeice,, This is something i never tire of,, but all the modern films only need to be seen once or twice,,,,,,

  • @MyAxolotl So youve spent over 83 days of your life watching this movie? No film is that good.

  • there are 15 people helpfully standing near an unused grave

  • 15 people dig

  • John Wayne was ultra boring... this stuff is legendary... it all works to perfection...

  • The most badass scenes of all badassery

  • Dear God, Please make Clint Eastwood my daddy

  • Cause there´s nothing there.

  • harika! Kovboy filmlerinde düello her zaman iki kişi arasında yapılırdı ilk kez ÜÇLÜ düello bu filmde oldu, işte buna yaratıcılık denir, yapılmayanı akla gelmeyeni yapmak, bravo...

  • Tuco "also known as the Rat." lmao.

  • No dought, it's the best western ever made!

  • @Derry266 DEFINETLY!

  • 505 <3

  • see, in this world there is two kinds of people my friend; those with loaded guns and those that dig...... you dig. That about says it..... U.S.A got all the guns... the rest digs.

  • 14 people are digging

  • i have to do a stupid english assessment about this scene ;(

  • @fullycomedy1

This scene is so rich, it should be pretty easy.

  • @fullycomedy1 Then you're lucky. Best thing in the world to do a report on!

  • masterpiece.

  • thats not the final scène..

  • at least he is a dick! isnt dead!:))

  • remains red dead redemption? D:

  • Clint eastwood no doubt my second father

  • Why is there a circle in the middle of a cemetery?

  • @horaciosi its where the structure was

  • @horaciosi To confuse you.

  • Its strange how Clint Eastwood didnt hear angel eyes turn up on his horse?, perhaps it was that noisy crow in the tree that drowned out the noise of the horse`s feet. A great film a could watch over and over.

  • To understand the intensity of the scene, you've to put yourself in the shoes of any of three. You can't shoot one because, then the other one is gonna shoot you and all done !! at the same time, you can't be quick enough to shoot them all !!

Clint Eastwood had an advantage to begin with since he knew one of the guns not gonna shoot ... he he he... technically, he cheated ;-)

  • @gouthammeruva True,true...

  • simply amazing! the power lines absolutely killed me though. (when blondie saves him the second time and they ride away horseback). freakin' hillarious! funniest shit i've seen in a while

  • I bet every film-making course on the planet requires students to study this scene.

  • 12 people dig graves...

  • I know the word "epic" is way overused...but I think it is safe to say that this scene is EPIC!!!!! Anyone else agree?

  • the older generation who grew up on the great television westerns are always more fond of John Wayne films whilst the slightly younger is far more fond of clints spaghetti westerns which in my opions is far more gritty and realistic. Waynes films always gloried wayne himself, showing him to be that alpha male taking seconds to no-one AT ALL which also appeal to many men, while eastwoods films were more witty and chock full of great character development, especially the bad guys.

  • yes, i figured out what type and kind of hat angel eye's was wearing. phew, (pats self on the back)

  • 7:09 i need to learn that..))...

  • This movie in every sense of the word is a true masterpiece, the shining jewel of the dollars trilogy. Everything about it is amazing, from the scenario, to the breath taking music. Honestly call me deluded but I fail to see how anyone can hate this.

  • @flamezero888 Probably dumb-fucks that like the Matrix or Harry Potter.

  • @flamezero888 the thing is my mum told me in its day people sneared at this movie as it was made in italy substututed for america and people werent used to that cause of all the glen ford movies. but now its acknoledged as the greatest western. i mean loads of people film in marocco and make out its new mexico or iran or werever as it cheap people dont care about that now. the story lines in fords film were mostly shit anyway.. this is great movie, excuse my spelling

  • Greatest movie song in history of mankiind

  • Clint looks like Hugh Jacksons "Wolverine"

  • 12 people don't like digging

  • c0r0na = psy0l0lgy putinglonasskowronskijunioratrocketmaildotcom code nonething 06potin5sextr1ll10nsk0wr0nsk1jun10ratyahoodotcom code o52565285 orangeworkscareercenteratyahoodotcom code 052565285 putin skowronski junior put itn yahoo the long rectangle its there just flick it thanks

  • So 240p we meet again.

  • "its" time.

  • Ohhh, such a great movie... Just watched it for the first time las night... It's now one of my favourite instant classics of all time... ^^

  • How does he light up the match with his bare hands??

  • Quality...

  • 12 people don't have guns.....

  • @danielecrews Yes, there is a version. But as I explained before, for the past 45 years an abridged version has always been the only one available on soundtracks, whether on vinyl or CD. Fortunately, for all of us, the other hugely popular track "The Ecstasy Of Gold" has always been available intact, as heard in the movie. "The Sundown" is another abridged track, where an eerie version of the famous intro is always missing, (But is heard in the movie as Angel Eyes approaches the camera).

  • @delta927 That trumpet is the one which has always been heard only on the original soundtrack record ever since the film was released. But in the movie there's a different version. The pocket watch chimes, kettle drum, piano and percussive echoes heard here from 4.24 are replaced in the soundtrack record by an acoustic guitar passage, then the trumpet continues to the very end. But here, the trumpet stops at 6.13 and is replaced by the urgent orchestral passage not heard on the record.

  • @MrRoGill so theres no kinda version available on cd?

  • Comment removed

  • @jmweed1861 Not exactly. Van Cleef is using a Remington 1858 percussion revolver which is correct for this early 1860s period. But his cartridge belt is incorrect. Wallach has a Colt Navy 1851 percussion revolver, which is also correct (This one is not the same cartridge-converted Navy he gets from the gunshop). Both their guns clearly show the cap nipples. Blondie's cartridge-converted Colt Navy 1851 never existed till about 1869, when these conversions were made by Richards-Mason and Thuer.

  • Interesting that they are using cartridge guns during the "Civil War" (The area of percussion handguns) Clint is using a m 1852 Navy converted to Cartridge, Van Clive an 1875 Remmington and Eli an 1860 Colt converted to cartridge. Great Movie, but historicly totallt incorrect.

  • @jmweed1861 Thats right, but hey -its just a film. One of the best ever!

  • its funny how it makes that sound of gun when it goes "Pewwww" but its hiting dirt

  • One of the two great gunfight scenes directed by Sergio Leone, the other one of course being the duel between Charles Bronson and Henry Fonda in Once Upon a TIme in the West

  • THAT WAS A GREAT SCENE LOL

  • rarly has anything been as awesome

  • 240p, we meet again.

  • please check out my video response, its called Dusk, ita our song put to this scene, enjoy!

  • The good, the bad, and the weird was actually pretty good remake!

  • Hey Paulwych: The Two greatest westerns ever made are this one & The Magnificent Seven . . . . NUFF SAID???

  • @40klad83 Sorry, But Sergio Leone made both of the greatest archetypal westerns - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and Once Upon a Time in the West.

  • "11 can dig a lot quicker than 1. Dig."

  • Legendary!!!!!!

  • bad ass cowboy Clint Eastwood, just made my day......

  • do they still make westerns? man they don't make movies like they used to anymore, I guess they ran out of ideas, these days they just want to make CGI movies. this movie is better than anything hollywood got to dish out these days. movies used to be about great stories and now they are all just a bunch of sound and visual effects. I miss the good old days

  • @hamedma

    You must be old

  • @hamedma i know man look at the original star wars vs the new star wars.

  • best duel ever

  • the manliest ballet you will ever see.

  • excellent final..best western movie ever!!

  • Az előbb a férjem bejött pár másodpercre és megkérdezte: ez mi? A Jó és a csúf? Száz éve látta ezt a filmet, csak azért emlékezhet, mert a film is és a zene is jó!

  • I would watch these wild west pictures over-and-over again and even though I know in advance every min. still takes my breath away while watching them.

The pictures from the late 50s/60s/70s were the BEST and will always be. Those that came after and the to-day's one are full of "blood sweat and tears" oh an the aliens...These western pictures along with the Spaghetti Western, also known as Italo-Western are the real CLASSIC ONES... History won't repeat itself in this case.Great share, tks.

  • The cast is fantastic. Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef are great badasses, but Eli Wallach is just hilarious. I love it!

  • Definitely one of the best movies ever made...but it wouldn't have been as good with out Eli Wallach as Tuco..he was an integral part of it.

  • Hm... Is it just me... Or does young Clint Eastwood look like Hugh Jackman?

  • @MercuryAlphaInc

I'd say Hugh Jackman looks like a young Clint Eastwood!

  • @spacecowboy7580 Either way... it's an creepy they look so much alike...

  • @MercuryAlphaInc " It's an creepy "...what the fuck does that mean?

  • @spacecowboy7580 Slight typo I'm afraid.

  • @MercuryAlphaInc

    Slight??

So what were you trying to type?

  • @spacecowboy7580 "It's an eery coincidence that..." but I decided to go with just creepy. Forgot to delete the "an".

  • Sergio Leone was a magnificent director. He had an eye for adventure. Love this film. And the score by Morricone too!

  • @BlackenedForLife

One of the most beautiful movies in existence.

  • @BlackenedForLife I know I love the Twist's he throws in as well

  • Just found out that ''the Ugly'' is still alive! Eli Wallach b.1915. And that the bad is long gone. Lee van Cleef b.1925 d.1989

  • Guys, i can re upload this in 1080p if you want? 50 thumbs up and ill do it.

  • @akalla1337 where can I donwload it?

  • @akalla1337 I asked for it, you guys wanted it.

    I'll upload this weekend.

  • @akalla1337 you're a liar. Die.

  • @triplexinaz Don't judge. It's done. check my channel

  • @akalla1337 Hey man, did you reupload this?

  • @akalla1337 where is it?

  • @akalla1337 Clearly bullshit, thumbs up whore

  • @akalla1337 liar:)

  • Anyone who wanted to remake this would surely be either very stupid or very mad. Hmm... In the latter case, if he was mad enough in a right way, it might even work...

Nah. No, it couldn't. Please keep making great new modern westerns, but leave this alone.

  • @Feanorielle clint can do a remake!

  • @Feanorielle Creative geniuses like Leone, Cameron and Scott think on a certain level and it shows in their films. The problem is once the creator/director/visionary who was behind the original is out of the picture, others will try to do what they did. Sometimes it works well, as in the case of the Battlestar Galactica and V series, both of which I loved, and sometimes not so well(Terminator 3 and 4).

  • @Feanorielle The latest western movie was "True Grit"...

  • @zeromant80 There has been some good westerns/western inspired movies in the last few years. And of course because I love this genre and believe in its potential and timeless, universal appeal, I wish they make many new westerns. There's no need to try to remake the old stories, old just endlessly do prequels and prologs. Come up with new stories and new franchises, ye movie folks! :)

  • You cant remake somthing that cant be remade :D

  • Leone really knew how to capture faces and reactions with his camera. That's the genius of this scene. Morricone gives it such brilliant power. Influential beyond reckoning.

  • Cinema dont get better than this

  • One of the greatest scenes ever filmed. The suspense combined with the immortal music of Ennio Morricone...........awesome

  • Fuck Gene Autry, John Wayne and Chuck Norris. This is what western movies are all about.

  • Ennio Morricone is an absolutly genius!

  • Greatest western ever made period..end of story...no arguments!.

  • same jeans n boots n that thing like blanket on him,as with fistfull of dollars no??

  • @Christos75GR

He wears all the same clothing in all the spaghetti westerns. Its the same character appearing in them all aswell, the gunman with no name.

The only western Ive seen him dress differently in is Rawhide and Unforgiven.

  • @hungoversundays

    its not the same character

in two of the three movies, he gets enough money to live forever...why would he continue?

same 'character' but not really a linear story or linked story at all.

but you are right, it is the man with no name

but he gets nicknames in all of em.

    Joe in Fistful of Dollars

Manco(one hand) in For a few dollars more

Blondie in The Good the Bad and the Ugly

  • @Christos75GR

    its called a poncho

and yeah, same clothes, same 'character' persay

  • Roland Dechain - Clint Eastwood.

No other man in this world can play in Roland's name other than Eastwood. Hail to the Dark tower and leave the fucking series alone. Clint Eastwood is too old to act as Roland so there can't be any fucking movies.

  • 9 people taught that he fired 6 shot and not only 5

  • Ahh, life before the lousy internet, TV, cars. Better then.

  • i been to the place in spain where it was filmed was fishing out there for carp and catfish one day it was to hot and we need to score some dope from near there (burgos) so we were showed where the river was and the graveyard as well as that place where the kid is on the horse water wheel thing

  • LOL Hey RyoSaba90 that was damned perfect!!!!! Count me in with the loaded gun, amigo! Wait a minute let me throw back my serape back from my gun hand..........

  • Best. Scene. Ever.

  • the french version is badass to.

  • i watched that movie over 4-5 time but still watched that scene like my firts time.

  • You can't get more badass than this.

  • my world cultures teacher made us watch this...

  • I would rather watch this one scene over and over again for 3 hours, instead of watching the whole of Avatar.

  • I laugh when people make Chuck Norris jokes... the truth is, Chuck Norris has NOTHING on Clint Eastwood, the biggest bad ass known to man.

  • This is action

    Not 12 cuts per seconds

  • To the 9 dislikes, it's pronounced "Idiot"... It's for you.

  • 9 people dig.

  • 9 dislikes, two guns, more then enough bullets.

  • Magnificent

  • LeONE + MorricONE = MilestONE

TU scavi!!""

  • one word to describe this - EPIC

  • I hope they "reboot" this soon,it realy needs to be remade with shit actors crap music and rubbish directing, hands off greedy fuckers you aint gonna improve perfection

  • I could just see some hollywood bozo remaking this film with slow-mo dogging bullets like matrix and crappy sunset beach acting.

  • You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friends: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. Apparently 9 people dig.

  • @HogyRubberDuck "Il mondo si divide in due: chi ha la pistola carica e chi scava..Tu scavi" miticooo!!!

  • who ever put this movie together and the music ,,well all i can say there worth there weight in gold ,, the ending still gets me on the edge of my seat ,, and aff watched this film hunfreds of times ,, fantasic ,,fact

  • film makers would do well to watch films like this this film is 100% better then 99% of films today pure class

  • 9 people clicked beside the target

  • the scene and the music 6:14 AMAZING!!!

  • A reaction/respond is way quicker than a mission from brain too musscle, think about something falling.. you caugh is before you even tought about it.

There for a stand-off's are very reallistic even today, the one who pulls the gun first is likely to get shot first with same chances. reaction and responses are faster than the mind

    Very interesting

  • In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. 1073 with loaded guns, and 9 who dig.

  • @RyoSaeba90 Bravo... very well said. Make that 1,259 with loaded guns and 11 diggers

  • @RyoSaeba90 Lol!

  • @RyoSaeba90 nice refference to the people ho vote for this vid but i thought that there where more people on this earth than onley 1082

  • See my mule doesn't like seeing dislikes on this video. Now if those same people were to switch their votes like I know they're going to....

  • 9 ppl are from the east

  • A Mexican standoff that lasts five full minutes. Nowadays movies just dont have that kind of patience, everything has to be quick and filled with action.

  • All three of these guys are serious bad-asses in this movie. It's a shame Eli Wallach and Lee Van Cleef wound up being underrated character actors after TGTBTU.

  • @DaveFromBrooklyn

    Van Cleef underrated? wat

  • 6:20, wheres the tip of his middle finger?

  • @akaHunterTR Lost it when building a cubby house for his child.

  • Clint Eastwood has the most beautiful hands.

  • OMG the must epic gun fail in movie making history!

  • OMG just get it over with! so suspensful.

  • This movie, and music grows better with time! Best end scene and music score ever!

  • There is no comparison. The finest filmaking, in earnesty, in badass-edness, in straight up genious. Plus the soundtrack could win a goddamned war. With sticks and fervour.

  • 3:30 Now,we start....! But where is the clock ?

  • Easily some of the most epic shit ever put to film.

    :D
