Yes, he is Cambodian. And he doesn't look Chinese at all to me. I think it's pretty obvious he's from Cambodia, or possibly the Philippines or something. But if you compare him to Pax, it's easy to tell. Pax is Vietnamese, he looks a lot more Chinese than Maddox. But Maddy's Cambodian and Pax is Vietnamese.

@shuckaluckluck I'm sure she loves all her kids equally. I do believe she shares a special bond with Maddox though because he was her first child and the person who changed her life. Plus, it was just the two of them together for a long time. She also thought that she was going to raise her son with BBT and when they broke up, I think focusing on Maddox really helped her through it and kept her strong. Maddox also seems to be very much a "Mommy's boy", but I'm sure Angie still loves all equally.

In that case, that pretty much makes him even more stupid (if he's really Cambodian and that's why he doesn't like Pax), because whatever that history is about, Pax has nothing to do with it. She adopted Pax because Cambodia and VN were a close neighbours therefore, this would help gives Maddox some friend to play with and considering Pax is a boy and also Asian, helps gives Maddox company. Basically, you can see she brought Maddox along to during the pick-up of Pax's adoption. I believe Angelina did this all because of her son, Maddox.

To sparkl1nwat3r: Angie and Brad decided to adopt another Asian boy so that Maddox could have someone to recognise himself in and are planning on doing the same for Zee (Shiloh has Brad & Angie to recognise herself in), but they also wanted another child. It was not only because of Maddox. They love Pax and have loved him since the moment they first saw him.

I didn't say all that matters is his looks. Someone asked if we think Pax is ugly and I said no, I think he's adorable and so very cute. I just answered the question. All of the Jolie-Pitt children are incredibly beautiful children, but I think they seem so very adorable on the inside as well. They seem to have great personalities =)
