Haha she had vocal training before I think because she went to a performing arts school. And I recall her saying something about being bored in vocal classes in an interview or something. I think she sang better in a way before since she is usually dead-on for the notes and has a very clear voice. She definitely sang in a very Japanese fashion, but since working with different types of music and different producers, her voice is quite different now.

her voice is so cute. It doesnt sound all that trained vocally to me though. She's a bit shouty...but her dancing is great! Her dancing's good. I'm glad she doesn't dance out completely, cause she'd be too tired and end up dancing only halfway.

she was only trained vocally at her decline period...at around 2001, she went to new york for vocal training...now her voice is more tamed, trained and mature, very different from before when she was at her peak...
