It sure was! I'm not sure the Yamato could have destroyed it by ramming it given the incredible difference in size. Although, perhaps it would work if the Yamato's engine contained antimatter. I don't know.

this is TV version of Yamato 2. sounds so bad in english..i´m sorry but it is coz i used watch it every week when i was kid, cinema version is called Saraba Uchu Senkan Yamato and it´s the best.

Wildstar, in the original version, rammed the surviving Comet Empire ship, with Nova's body in his arms, and he died and took the enemy vessel and the Yamato with him--It was brilliant!!!

In the movie version, "Farewell to Space Battleship Yamato", both Knox (Saito) and Sandor (Sanada) stayed behind; Sandor set the explosives while Knox was holding them off. Both died in the explosion.

Nishizaki sold the rebroadcasting rights for Yamato to Tohokushinsha to finance the numerous sequels. There was demand for the property but Nishizaki didn't have the cash to produce the sequels.

The song ends when Wildstar, Sandor and Conroy escape from the Comet Empire.

The song begins at the 1:27 mark in the video and ends at 3:17.

I would love to have a copy of this beautiful melody on CD or MP3.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's the first time I have ever heard the song performed live!I have had the CD/MP3 copy of the song for about 2 months now and I listen to it regularly.

If nothing was said about Knox getting out the edited version would be palatable. But what happened to Conroy? You don't even see Conroy getting shot in the original version yet one moment he's fine then next he's mortally wounded.

Certainly redoing series 1 ^ 2 with live actors, CGI graphics, restored violent scenes from the original version, grittier storylines, etc., would kick ass (just as been said with the remade Battlestar Galactica series).
