  • Josie is doing AWESOME!! You have done an awesome job with her. Ivie in the background is too cute :) ~Heather and Jesse~

  • Awe, thanks!! Josie's my first dog to teach contacts to (Ivie came trained and Maddie's are natural), so poor Josie gets experimented on a lot!!

((As an aside, Madison's always there 'in the background' as well, she's just normally too busy hunting vermin to make an appearance on camera. She ate a mouse tonight, and nearly caught her 3rd bunny of the month...*sigh*))

  • Outstanding! What progress she's made. The dogwalk is stellar. Love BC in the Background, haha.

  • Thanks!! :o)

Yes, Ivie is our 'head coach' -- she makes sure we stay on task -- no shenanigans! ;-)

  • great

  • Her dogwalks are looking great!

  • How did you work the DW? Was it just a by product of the box or did you make a smaller box?

  • I did not use the box on the dogwalk at all.

Josie's dogwalk was trained using the 4OTF method (you can go to my 'training videos' playlist and see it there). Then I added the clicker board to get her thinking about hitting the contact.

She's meshed the two real nicely and I'm super pleased with the results (for now!!). She still gives me a head check at the bottom of the obstacle, which comes from the 4OTF, but I can tell her to 'gogogo' which comes from the clicker board.

  • Nice work Em!!!

  • Nice job.
