@BadWolf8333 I generally think of guns as tools, but you're right seeing these works of art makes my "tools" look like exactly that - tools. We should all have a safe queen in there somewhere!
@ArmedSundance Could you correct me if I'm wrong on this, but some of the "miniature" firearms in this video were training rifles for children were they not? I know they did such with powder rifles way back but I've never known if they did such for cartridge models or not.
@valakin I don't know. I was told they are working miniature replicas. Quite prolific really- a pretty big collecting association throughout the country and world - certainly at prices that were well beyond the costs of training guns. While there certainly were miniature trainers made historically, - its seems to me that most of the miniatures I was seeing were actually even smaller than that. TOO small for that purpose. There was a .22 cal miniature MA DUECE turret gun! Way cool.
@valakin by the way, one collector advised "working replica" meant mechanically functional - its was not designed to fire a cartridge and was too small for any ammunition. But some were .22 cal, . . . I really don't know much about miniatures - just found them interesting and thought I would share.
