Iv had it done twice,personally the excruciating bit is when they open up my woman's bit and keep it open, there are no nerves on the uterus so u can't feel a thing when they scrape. (well I can't anyways)

For most women it's not painful,however for some,if they have experienced trauma like rape or child abuse it can be painful,for me personally it's excruciating!!

noo it is not painful but that was diffrent than wooden spoon that was a like plastic object.

Hell they use plastic ones to that are pointy and actually go in the hole. It doesn't hurt because your nerve endings on your cervix and inner vaginal walls don't have many nerves. All you feel is something moving around!. Ever use a tampon? Exactly. You don't feel it. It's probably bleeding cause she's either pregnant or has some sort of STD. But honestly, it doesn't hurt. The clamp is a bit uncomfortable, but it doesn't hurt. not one bit.

Are you insane? Pap smears may not hurt you but I hate them, they hurt me a lot (not for a lack of sexual activity or anything). Women commonly bleed afterward from the procedure, sometimes a little bit and sometimes enough to make you think you're on your period.

this is something you should talk to your mom about. most girls around 18 get theres first done. they scrap some cells like in this vid from the inside of your vag and test it for cancer cells.
