wow sucks and this is not what eq looks like today

3000 items that players have never found

the one thing that keeps me coming back to eq after playing wow and playing conan and eq2

is the fact that eq is so open and vast and in 7 years i still have not seen every zone

and in eq you get to play how ever you want

and you are not locked in by a story line and you do not have to follow any set path to play

you can never do a single quest or craft a single idem and still play along with others

That may be, but overhauling an entire graphics engine isn't that simple. There may have been limitations on what they could do based on the original code.

Besides, if a person wanted higher end graphics in an EQ setting, that's what EQ2 was for.
