Yes your basically correct I couldn't effect an Aikido technique on a retreating opponent, not sure whether that's a short coming in Aikido or in me. I do know it works against someone who is actually attacking and whose sole intent is to get you, not backing away. It is much easier for me to take the fight to some one using judo than Aikido so that's what happened. Also it was for charity, and a bit of a laugh so I did not want to hit him as I would if I didn't know or like him.
That's funny because he wasn't "retreating" during the entire match. In fact, he was bobbing and moving around just like someone does in a real fight. The shortcoming is all aikido; it does not work. The evidence is clear; the moment a fight (albeit not a serious fight) started, you had to rely upon skills other than aikido.
very nice to see such things. but this guy to mach of judo. and you do not to much. you should fight with him in the ne waza but you seems to just dont now how to do this. when you are in the erth you should have big oportunity - do bjj but you do nothing. this gay do basic ne waza any bjj could fight. why you just dont take him to gard and try then..

that aikido "master" is pretty funny. He is just fucking around with that guy. He actually knows what he is doing. See when he takes him to the ground he swings his legs out like a real fighter would. If this guy really is a "aikido master" he also knows other stuff. LOL I'd say he is more of a MMA fighter with a good background in aikido than JUST aikido.
Actually fuz2 that particular move is really really painful, the bodies response to that pain is similar to a heart attack. The body thinks your dieing! rubbing is not what I'm doing. get some one to do it to you to see.
yes ill give you that it does hurt, not enough to make someone tap that had a shot of winning. he however didnt :). im not saying i would have had a shot either though.
Agree about the bulge... some movements were too exciting, i couldnt ever fight to that "old bloke in a skirt", i prefer fighting to awful ones, its a matter of concetration. Nice video anyway i'd like to practice that martial art. Regards

a very dagerous thing. I think he was very game, after all he wasn't to now I would take it easy on him.
