I cried after seeing this footage. My mother was 5 years old when she lived through this hell. She lost her mother, grandmother and other family members. Hearing the survivor's accounts are an echo of her experiences in the famine. The estimates are up to 10 million people died but how many people out there know about it? Many people that I talk to have never heard about this artificially induced famine. This documentary is a slice of our Ukrainian history which should never be forgotten.
