A Thousand Suns was a one-track 50-minute progressive-rock record. There's nothing in it that is mainstream and if a band were to compromise themselves for profit, a cd of 12 3-minute hits would be to do it. Not a concept album. LP are way heavier and lighter than SP can ever hope to be. They can cover any genre they want... not just pop-rock.
