I've sent the album over to my brother in Australia for his birthday. He hadn't heard Wire for about 25 years and was absolutely knocked out by it! This is one of the best tracks, but the variety on offer is a real testament to Wire's drive and creativity.
Saw them last night in Portland, Oregon. Truly inspiring. Their edge is just as sharp today as it was 30 years ago, maybe more so. Last time I saw them was right after READ AND BURN came out. They only did new songs then, which was fine. But last night they went all the way back to 154, and included some of my all-time favorites ("Boiling Boy" "Silk Skin Paws" "Kidney Bingos" Map Ref"). For a couple of hours last night life made perfect sense. Thanks, guys, for still being there.
@chunkMunky123 Same here. You give it a break in listening and it comes out better again. Wire makes music with their senses. That's where it works for me aswell. I just have to listen and it's working for me.
another beautifully balanced and effortlessly layered song from perhaps the greatest band of all time ....

Great song by great but much undervalued band. Their album Red Barked Tree is terrific - the best album of the year so far deffo!

Hehe, I was at the concert you played there. I was like burning inside when you played "The 15th" or "106 beats that".
154 is one of my favourites album of all time, and I think it is for a lot of people. Thank you !

I don't think I'll ever get tired of this song. Even if it is a little less live than I expected.

You've got to love technology - someone makes a comment and the lead singer replies within minutes...
