I can see why Chen likes using bananas... Chen was born in the year of the monkey. Bananas are starchy, yet sweet, and can hold other flavors like potatoes and squash..

they kill plenty of fish and seafood as the freshness is best that way, if you watch this show you can't get up on a high horse over any ingredient, anything is game for the iron chef contest

I'm not sure how you go about it if you don't kill live turtles. I mean the turtles have to be killed at some point if you're going to eat them, same for cows, chickens, etc.

Do you want them to kill dead turtles? I'm not sure how they would go about that. :)

I eat meat, I'm just saying if they killed the turtles right then and there, I hope there was at least proper anesthetic/butchering practices to killing them. (Butcherhouses have to have supposedly humane ways of doing it.)

You can eat meat, but that doesn't mean you can just go around chopping off animal's heads.
