@DameinTK It's even worse when you have to play the track over and over (and over and over and over) trying to get that Stealth bonus. I've since gone back and tried again, and to this day I have trouble lasting 'til the end of this song in Audiosurf, despite how much better I've gotten at playing.
Hey man 10x for the "Keep hope alive" song. I saw it's not hard enough for your skills and wanna say damn you're good. I apprishiate it cuz it's one of my favorite songs. And just wanna ask u what is this movie you're workin' on ?O yes and tell me if the "power" was a challenge 2 u. Peace !
The movie was a last minute attempt to enter a filmmaking contest after spending a month failing to finish what would have been a worthwhile entry; I got as far as shooting the new idea, but hated the audio and the way I look on camera, so I gave up on it. The original plan, however, is something I've been working on for years, and it will get finished eventually.
Yes, "Power" was quite a challenge, and I'm sorry to say I don't think I can manage eight minutes of that. My wrist is killing me.
Hey man I have another song 4 u that I think you'll love playin' on and it's called Warp brothers - power. Definitely a challenge 4 your skills. And I am still w8tin' for Keep hope alive. Soo I hope u complete it soon. Peace!
Sorry, man, I've been busy; the short film I mentioned in my previous reply turned out to be a real piece of crap, but it still took up my time, and I was preoccupied. Even now that it's over with, "Keep Hope Alive" is kicking my ass. The traffic number is deceptively low, there are quite a few trouble spots in there. I'll keep at it, but God only knows how long it'll take to Stealth.
I'll try that other song, too, thanks for the suggestion!
I just tried out Keep Hope Alive and it seems perfectly achievable, I'll give it a shot eventually. Any special tag requests? Bankcam, sidewinder, anything like that?
I'm right in the middle of a short film project at the moment, unfortunately, so it may be the end of the month, or even the beginning of November, before I get a chance to record anything. Keep an eye out, though, I'll get around to it sooner or later!
If you like this, however, you should check the rest of my Audiosurf videos, namely Nightflower and Beautiful Brutality; Come On was the first run I recorded, and I've gotten better at the game since then.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Don't forget giZm's run, though (link in the yellow bar under this video), he did the same song and got the Match 21 on top of everything.
If I can sound stupid for just a moment, where did I tell that story about filling up my hard drive? This is going to drive me crazy now; I know I described it somewhere, but I don't see it in the video description or comments, and I can't think where else it would have come up. My memory isn't so great, apparently.
Sorry about that, I know not everyone likes them; I prefer them myself, if only for the way they sound when they sync up with the music (not so much here, but I've got other videos that show off the matched up sounds quite well).
In the case of posting this stuff on Youtube, though, I leave the effects in to try and more clearly identify when I hit or miss a block. They go by fast, it can be hard to tell what's happening sometimes.
Thanks! I like to think I've gotten better since I recorded this video, but even now it's a stretch to pull off a Stealth on this track; seven minutes is a challenge, even with traffic this low.
Love this track. Looks like it goes very well with the game too. I gotta wonder what exactly you're eating to get your reflexes that fast though, mate. lol
Pretty much anything by Andy Hunter works beautifully in Audiosurf; Lifelight is especially challenging, and gets almost impossibly difficult toward the end.
As for my diet? Mountain Dew. By the gallon. I haven't slept in a year and a half.
Believe me, you don't know the half of it. You should see how many times in a row I'm willing to play the same songs. It's more than a little pathetic.
The game is Audiosurf, and you can find a link to the website in this video's description. Only ten bucks, no monthly fees, and replay value 'til the cows come home. Then they can play, too.
It's called Audiosurf, and there's a link to the game's website over there in the video description. A free demo is available to try out, if you're interested.
Good God Almighty...and I'm not even religious. That was just incredible. The song length must have worn on you at the end. I like it, but this seems like a long, tiring track.
You don't know the half of it. Recording this video, like all the rest, took about a gigabyte a minute. I replayed this damn song so many times I had to empty my hard drive of Fraps videos twice, even though I started with over two hundred and fifty gigs free. I've since increased my mouse sensitivity and video recording framerate, which makes things easier.
It also helps that I'm the type to listen to my favorite songs over and over, but frankly I'd be happy if I never heard this one again.
By "keyboard jockey" I just mean somebody who plays Audiosurf with the keyboard; the same way someone who works in an office could be called a "desk jockey".
I now find, however, that using the mouse with the sensitivity all the way up seems to let you move faster than you can with the keyboard, so my original comment may have been off base.
Thanks! If you really want to see it done right, however, check the video linked in the little yellow box up above; giZm's the best Ninja Mono player I've yet seen.
Nice reflexes.

All the Andy Hunter tracks I've played are great for Audiosurf, and his song "Go", as a matter of fact, is the song that convinced me to buy the game.
