@hillevifan I'm okay with her performance, but just reading about what she was like behind stage, and just how much she tended to whine and not offer her best (and how much she messed up because of nerves), it just doesn't reflect too highly on her overall.
@VRNProductions I read Ted Chapin's book too, and while she did seem like bit of a diva, I really empathized with the whole nerves aspect. Sometimes we, as performers, never truly get rid of nerves and they can really mess up a performance! Fifi did her best to calm those nerves, but most of the time they got the better of her and made her seem like a diva off-stage and a wreck on-stage. I don't think she ever intended to whine. We may think that Chapin may have exaggerated on that aspect
I have to say, of the original cast, Fifi D'Orsay is the only one I just do not care for...
