John Madden was great. Even if he was an easy target to make fun of, at least when you watched football you got a few laughs out of it. He had that voice that everyone easily recognized and you could enjoy. As for Colinsworth...his voice is just so annoying. He really makes me miss Madden in the booth. And since he retired I have to hear Colinsworth on NBC and Madden NFL. Thats way more than I wanted in the first place.

Well Monday Night Football started out with Howard Cosell and Don Meredith as announcers, and it was entertaining no matter what the actual game was like. Now we have boring Al Micheals and Chris Collinsworth - just great. I don't know, but Collinsworth strikes me as smarmy and sanctimonious at times. Why doesn't NBC just get two politically correct robots to call the games on Sunday nights, would be more interesting.

I am definately going to miss John Madden on Sundays and Monays announcing Football Games because he made it more fun to watch. He will definately be missed. Also I want to add that Chris Collinsworth is not even in Madden's league. Not in his neighborhood, not even in the same planet as madden.
