Why is living infinitely with god any more of a purpose than living finitely without god?

Just pointing out... Prop 8 "yes" was supported (by about 24 MILLION dollars) came from the Mormon church, despite it not being a prevelant population in Cali. That was more than half the money for "yes." If "no" had that much money, and had made tv ads that lied about the consequences, the "yes" would never have happened. I'm pretty sure the Supreme Cali Court is looking into it now. They were the ones that gave gays the right to marry in the 1st place, and they'll likely reinstate it.

From what I have experienced, and learnt for myself, my conclusion is that religion is nothing more than a brainwashing, misleading mind prison. I know Jehovah's witnesses who have been wrong about their predictions countless amounts of times. If "God" truly loves us then why is there still famine, disease, war and death in the world? To be honest, BOTH religion and the commonly known evolution and "big bang" theory are almost definitely false. I'm sure there's more that we're not being told.

Just pointing out... Prop 8 "yes" was supported (by about 24 MILLION dollars) came from the Mormon church, despite it not being a prevelant population in Cali. That was more than half the money for "yes." If "no" had that much money, and had made tv ads that lied about the consequences, the "yes" would never have happened. I'm pretty sure the Supreme Cali Court is looking into it now. They were the ones that gave gays the right to marry in the 1st place, and they'll likely reinstate it.

We attack Christians the most because they repress us the most. They also repress gays, women, and scientific/social progress the most.
Rest assured, if any group of people or idea (astrologists for example) did the same, we'd be flicking them off hard too. :3

*Includes Baptism, Southern Baptism, Mormonism, Catholicism, Seventh Day Adventism, Protestantism, etc.
So it's not like we're just singling him and his brand of Jebus out.

Paul, that guy is an idiot: First off, he needs to learn to hold a camera.
Second off, he seems to be referring to freedom of religion, not freedom of speech.
But speaking of freedom of speech, it's true that he has it. But you know what? So do we. We can bash his beliefs until the cow comes home, because that's our right.
Also, he seems to have a persecution complex. We atheists attack all religions, not just Christianity.

Frankly, I DON'T "respect people's beliefs" anymore! It's like saying, "respect people's imagination" it may well be bullshit. I respect, and ONLY respect what is true! Of course I don't know what is definitely true, but I do know that there is a LOT of credible evidence that disproves religion AND the common big bang and evolution theory. How could existence, say the seemingly perfect laws of nature, suddenly have appeared from a random explosion in infinite non-existence?

Btw, even though the commonly known big bang theory sounds completely made up, it's most likely the correct theory compared with religion. It's just that scientists, teachers etc have omitted tons of information that make the theory sound realistic.

From what I have experienced, and learnt for myself, my conclusion is that religion is nothing more than a brainwashing, misleading mind prison. I know Jehovah's witnesses who have been wrong about their predictions countless amounts of times. If "God" truly loves us then why is there still famine, disease, war and death in the world? To be honest, BOTH religion and the commonly known evolution and "big bang" theory are almost definitely false. I'm sure there's more that we're not being told.
