well.. yes you can play the game without paying a cent. Monsters drop items and you can craft things and such.. but when you start off with nothing you must sweat animals and sell the sweat to buy basic equipment.

It's all about luck. You can win a lot or lose a lot more. Personally, I play for 2 years and deposited 3000$ so far. I'm not lucky but I play smart so despite that I never had a really big loot and didn't made a fortune, I didn't lose the money. If I'll sell all my stuff and skills now, I'll get around 4-5k$. If you play for money, it's really not a serious earnings for 2 years of playing. But I played only for fun, so it happened that I played for free.
Though I don't plan to sell anything and leave EU in the foreseeable future, so I have a chance to lose everything one day nevertheless :D. It worth it anyway.
This video is very old. They had a graphics update less than a year ago. Plus they will be updating to the CryEngine2 this year. (The same thing Crysis uses.)

I tried this game, and I have only one thing to say about it: CHEAP GARBAGE.
Bugged, shitty graphs,laggy.. and it's more an online casino then a game.
This "game" isn't about fun.. but about generating money.
But money isn't really the issue.. I don't wanna waste anymore TIME on this cheap excuse for online gambling.
FFS.. even the trailer is a cheap piece of shit.

I'd play it if it was fun and looked better. Even upgrading to cryEngine2 won't make it more fun, so there should be some motivation to play other than the prospect of earning money.

Graphics do not enhance core gameplay. Sure, everything looks prettier and bounces realistically, but the core concepts of how the game engine works are still painfully much the same. I am writing a letter to MindArk to alert them of many of these annoyances and gameplay lacks, such as the general feeling of loneliness that plays contrary to the principle of social proof, automatically discrediting the popularity of the game, and also some points about the learning curve. Don't start playing this game if u don't wish 2 deposit anything into this game. Yes, this game is like gambling. Only those who deposit get lucky often. I have played this game & have lost many dollars, & I also have quit it. MindArk is d 1 who r profiting here. 4 those already playing well and fine. Entropia has been around for several years. Its not exactly new. Its european. Come on, world needs diversity. I tried Entropia several years ago before it switched to XP+ and I had a blast - i didn't spend any money though. I'm thinking about getting a new system just for this. Loved the video. And I remember loving the music they had in-world.
