Have you ever listened to the Blue Album by Weezer? When I was 13 years old, I loved Weezer, and listened to them quite a bit. The similarities between some of SSLYBY and Weezer's older stuff are pretty striking. I agree with richard.

I don't think they are trying to be Weezer so much as they are clearly influenced by them, which isn't such a bad thing.

I agree, but they have their own sound entirely. They're much calmer than Weezer. Also, much better lyricists, in my opinion.
