we own one of those except its a 2008 with adrenaline package and a 5.7L puttin 320HP. gpsed it at 65 with my dad at 1/8tank and juts me and him dont ask what prop i have no clue

There is no way you are getting 63mph not true gps, maybe dash speedo but that is way off. I run a 1900 pro-vee lund with a 200HP, with a machine balanced prop and performance kit added and the best gps I can get at 1500ft elevation in 60 degree weather running alone on half tank with a full load of fishing gear is 54

I find that hard to believe, 63??? I have a 1996 Pro-V 1775 w/ a newer Evinrude EFI and the best I've gotten on GPS is 53mph. That is running a 14.5X19 SS prop on choppy water ay 5850RPMS. (my boat is faster on rough water) Fiberglass Bass boats only run 60-65 with 150hp. I Had a 115 Evinrude before and I could get 42 GPS MPH. 35 hp for 10MPH!!!! Lunds are heavy boats.

305 sbc does not produce 260hp. That would be the 350 chevy motor that does that.

Lunds kick ass...i have the 04 pro sport 1600 running a yammi 60..ive done 40 in perfect conditions..thats with a full load..great fishing boat..

With a Merc 150efi (non-optimax), my 1996 Lund 1775 Pro-V would do 54-55 all day. It was great in 2-4 foot rollers on lake Michigan. Wish I still had it.

I am also glad that when I see the dumb ass skiers crash I think that I bet they wish some of us fisherman who also happen to be Paramedics would come to their rescue. I have never seen such rude people as I do when I work boat patrol in the summer and I have to constantly pull skiers over being drunken idiots and just when you think they learn their lesson, the same boat gets pulled over several more times in the same day for the same thing. As we saw in the video fishing boat won the race! FO

That's awesome. But, there are Allison Bass boats that will do 120+. In fact, they hold the world record. My Allison actually isn't on of the fishing boat models.

What kind of hull are you running and what kind of setback,prop,gear ratio,rpms?

its a hydrostream vegas skier. It has 5.5" lift 6" setback 27p prop witch is on there for a little more dig. I could probly go with a 29 or larger and maybe hit over 110 but honestly I think its fast enough. I can cruise all day at 60mph witch is faster than most boats top speed were I go. The aliisons are nice though.

a clever on a fishing boat is not a good mix. The cleaver is for light boats where the prop is partially surfaced, not fishing hulls.

I own an 08 Lund Tyee with a 225 Opti. with a 19 inch pitch on a Tempest stainless prop. with 4 guys 2 over 260 and 2 between 140 and 180 hit 60mph.

Those 2 boats are like apples and oranges. The Lund is aluminum and only weighs about 1900 lb. The Larson is fiberglass and weighs about 3000 lbs. And as mentioned below...the prop makes or breaks the hole shot!!!
